Friendship and the Sunday Drawing

Hi guys,  Isn't black and cream always a pleasure to see?  There is just something soothing about it I think.  You may notice my beloved houndstooth (aka dogstooth) patterned paper sneaking it's way back in to the background here. I just couldn't leave it alone for too long, could I?   I started with the romantic rectangle die template for my focal element.  It is a really lovely die and appropriately named too.  I stamped my sentiment on cream card and cut it out with one of the Labels 25 dies, inked it with Black Soot distress ink while in the die to create a frame.  I added a piece of the black American seam binding to create a border between my mixed papers.  One of the lovely ribbon buckles suited it quite nicely this time instead of a big bow.  I added some small pearls to the buckle to bling it up a bit.  The lattice border was added at the bottom to create interest.  Although it is a bit difficult to see, there are some pearlie swirlies added to the top area next to the focal element and below the ribbon buckle across the lattice border.  The entire piece was matted on to cream card then layered on to black.  Black Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue dots were added all the way around the edge to frame and accent the card.  Hope you like it!

Now for the sunday night drawing!  All names from the comments from the posts with over comments have been included and I have drawn out:

Jenny L!!!

CLM Cindylu2u!!!

Debbie Tinks!!!

Congrats to all of you.  Please email me at americansue1@gmail.com to confirm your address and  claim your prize!

I will do the big candy drawing mid day on Monday so be sure to check back!  All for now, Sue x

Think best part of this card is the interlocking, always look for that on all the cards i make. That ribbon is to die for. Becoming very fund of bow embellishments. Always seem to finish the card off beautifully. The colour is great too , reminds women of chocolate and could be manly too. !0 out of 10 again, well done

Love your card, Sue!!! I made my first card using your new dies yesterday, a birthday card for my cousin. I used the offcut from the border as the border, then fixed the actual border about half an inch away ( I had embossed the card, so I wanted to be able to see a little of it). I did the card in black and white and used the new flower dies. I used deep pink card candy as the flower centre. I'm not up to your standard by any means, but it is the first card I've been totally happy with. Thank you for all your inspiration!!! Anne H

Hi Sue,
I watched all the shows today and they were fab. I was glad to hear you say you were off to Florida to see your mum, I think you probably need a break and I am sure you mum will be ecstatic to see you. I hope you will take time to relax on this visit and not be working so hard.
Before I get to your card I would first like to offer my congratulations to you on having the prototype of your 2nd set of dies and also on the recognition as part of the DT now on the Spellbinders website. It all sounds 'perfectly marvelous' and again I am so very, very pleased for you, it is long overdue and very much deserved. Now to your latest creation:
I am a great lover of black and white (Toile du Juoy being my ultimate favourite), it always looks sophisticated and chic, just like your card today.
This is a simply stylish card Sue and could as easily be used for the men in our lives as it could the women. I know I would be elated to receive something as lovely as this (oh dear, that has me thinking CASE again just so I can have one like it. I can't keep copying your cards, I'll never use my own initiative again...lol!!)
Well I am off now to finish my newest batch of Stick Pins (much improved on the last ones!).
I hope you have a good week.
Hugs and best wishes Linda
