To You

Hi guys!  I hope you enjoyed all of yesterday's shows, I know I did!  Now, at least, I can begin posting all the samples for your closer inspection too.  This is a very simple, but I think,  elegant card.  I have used this layout many times but I keep coming back to it for this type of card as I feel it really shows off both the embossing and the lovely dies very well.  To start, emboss your background piece with your embossibility folder (I believe this one is called Patchwork).  The background is slightly larger than the folder so you will have to do the first section, then move the card over and line it up by having it slot back into the folder in the repeatable background.  Then run it through a second time to finish it off and mat on to pale pink card.  Next, do a smaller piece of pink card with the same folder and this time it should all fit inside the folder in one go.  Mat that piece on to cream card and mount in the centre of your larger background piece.  Using a second piece of pank card cut the same size as the other one, mat on to cream card.  Cut four of the Damask Motif pieces with the unusual, but lovely shape and these will clip on the edge of a smaller piece of pink card, but this time the clip "holder" pieces will go to the back of the card and the rest of the entire die will sit on top of the smaller piece of pink car.  They will overlap a bit in the front, but that will not show when we are finished.  Mount this piece on to the pink card that you did not emboss, but mount the entire piece on to the embossed piece but rotated so the points are opposite.  I hope that makes sense, it is a mouthful!  Finally, stamp your sentiment on to cream card.  This sentiment is only part of the phrase which says "From Me To You," but I only wanted to use the To You section here.  Using one of the smaller pieces from the Persian Accents, cut it out and ink it lightly with Antique Lineen distress ink.  Mount on a foam piece in the centre of your card and you are done! I added a few small pearl accents around on this one as a final finishing touch.  Think any occasion, any colour combo and this card will work beautifully too.  Hope you like it.  All for now, Sue x

Hi Sue,
Wow, what a day you had yesterday. Thought you'd be having a well deserved lie-in, but you're on again today - yipee! All the praise you received yesterday is so well deserved, especially Ellis's comments about 'having it all'.
I love this card, it is one of my favourites from the shows.
Now when are you going to add some baking recipes to the blog?!!
And do tell more about your next set of dies.

Wonderful card Sue, really awesome. Unfortunately I didn´t get a minute to watch the shows yesterday, as I have 4 of my grandkids here for our winterholiday here this week, and theyĆ©re all so creative and just keep me on my toes, when they´re all here, so not a dull moment all day long. But they had a great day and was creating loads all day, and they were all soo happy, so that´s what it´s all about, and then I can watch shows, when they´re gone home again LOL.
But I really like this card a lot.
have a great day, I better get of here, before the girls are all up again here LOL.

Morning Sue
Thanks for the great shows yesterday, really enjoyed them. Love this card, I will certainly be trying this one out when my dies arrive. Sue can you tell me if we can buy the rolls of the sticky back foam that you use to mount your layers on to your cards? I like to use larger pieces of foam especially when the card or paper isn't very substantial, it provides a bit of extra support to the layer. Hope you a good rest after all your hard work yesterday.

Much love

Good afternoon Sue - like the others who are commenting I really enjoyed your shows yesterday - you have such a natural way about you in front of the camera which makes you really watchable! I enjoyed seeing all your cards and it has really inspired me - as well as NEEDING to buy the dies that you designed I think we REALLY NEED to see you on our screens more often! I like the simple sophistication of the card today - the embossing and die goes really well together.

Hi Sue,
Late again with my comment, but what can I say..... YOU ARE THE BEST!. Loved the shows and love the dies, got home tonight, checked e-mail and the 'big' order is on its way, could be here Saturday, yipeee, cannot believe you are doing extra shows.
I cannot believe people do not ask you to make cards for them!
I would like to know what happens to all your samples though!
You could make a small fortune with them, if Shaun will pay £10.00 and (squeak, squeak) Martin £5.00, hey, Sue Wilson Designer Card Store is born, I would love to buy a card like yours.

Dear Sue
This is lovely and elegant, a real summer confection!! I am going to be fit to be tied waiting for my lattice dies but C&C always take the longest time anyway: "If you order it they will come"! I also really like buckles I had a new mantra while you were away: please let Sue bring buckles! I have been running wax paper through the grand caliber with just the more sticky dies on their own but when you made your suggestion about doing it with the paper - thank you. It is not the most ornate dies that are the worst but the lovely lacy ovals! The larger one just feels really sharp and will not yield up the diecut without a fight. All the best, Vee xx

Hi Sue,
sorry I am a day late, I honestly thought I had done my comment and then as I read everyones comments today I suddenly realised mine was missing. Shameful and I apologise.
I really love this technique and the way you have so cleverly used the damask diecuts to make a very ornate piece for the front of the card. Truly beautiful.
Short but sweet my friend so I can get to your next stunner!!

Hi Sue - I just love this card and I have watched (and recorded) all the shows! I don't know how you do it and still look so fresh! I bought the POD and several other items - thank goodness my husband is such a darling, he just worries that the ceiling is going to collapse because of the weight of all my crafting goodies. I have 10 A5 ringbinders, each with 20 plastic pockets holding a magnetic sheet and a set of dies in each! That is so far! I also have an A4 folder with all my Grand Nestabilities in it. Please carry on with the shows - they are such an inspiration. Love Sue x

The only thing that cannot be "fixed" later is your blog and post titles.
It's so important because once customers begin seeking your product or service you will want to have favorable words making your search results optimized. As we all know, looks can be deceiving, so I decided to try out the question tool for myself.
The objective is to arrange your passions as carefully as possible with your online promotion company.
It's a competitive world out there on the world-wide web, but SEO consulting can help you dramatically improve your odds of being found in the din and getting your message across. This will not only help you find the best service provider but will help you build an idea about the recent SEO market. If you simply copy the original manufacturer's description, you
don't add value to your product and you certainly don't add your personal touch that
can make you stand out from your competitors. Examine
in detail the shift in the customers' rank, and progress in their positions. While these 5 truths may seem self-evident, it is the astonishing fact that they are contradicted, and even outright disputed, in the greater SEO debate. This means that they follow only the steps given to them by Google and other major search engines. Configure You - Tube settings by changing the default settings to your preferred and secure preferences. People these days use the Internet for a varied purpose. So, most move slowly when deciding on who becomes the company's SEO.
The growth management of small business can be accomplished with SEO as an integral part of
your overall Internet marketing strategy. Effective SEO techniques for Bloggers aren't any different. Regardless of whether you like it, love it, or hate it, social media has become a major player in the SEO world, and it is a costly mistake to ignore it. Once you find the right and affordable SEO Company, it is essential to talk about your business objectives, target customers and future goals with the professionals to help them develop their strategies accordingly. Why. Law firms face various challenges and have issues in remaining at the top in the market. Keep in mind that Google doesn’t really like page rank manipulation, even if it’s internally on your site or externally by backlink spamming. The internet has become an integral part of our lives that according to the latest statistics, almost 1 billion Americans access the internet. Image Optimization is also a part of SEO services in Pune.
