I'm Thinking Of You

Hi crafters!  I pulled out an older embossing folder to start today's card.  I used the Floral Brocade A4 sized folder.  Next I used the Noble Vintage Labels and made a multi-leyered frame out of white card.  I used a piece of pixied card and cut the Bubbles Background into it, then used it as a backing for the frame.  I cut the Thinking of You sentiment in black and glued it inside the frame.  I added a white border cut from the frame on the Button Flower Floral panel die and backed it with a piece of caught in crystal in a similar colour to the pixied card.  I made a glittered flower using the Cosmos Flower die set and added leaves and a Bauble Branch swirly accent.  The card was completed withwhite mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2"  x  8 1/4" in size.

Don't forget to check back later this afternoon to see the list of winners for the April die release!   All for now, Sue x

You Are My Treasure

Hello bloggers!  I selected a pixied piece from my background stash to start today's card.  I used Aqua Lagoon and Golden Mint Pixie Powders.  I used the Clipped Corner Rectangles and made a white frame to go around the bacground.  I cut the Underwater Life Frame several times using tan, green card for the majority of the die cut but I added a few of the smaller elements  in deep purple, rust and gray.  I cut the Message in a Bottle die out of white card and the scroll out of pale blue and attached it to the larger seawwed.  I used the You Are My Treasure and Missing You sentiments from the Message In A Bottle set cut in black.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7"  x  8 1/4"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

Happy Easter

Good Easter Sunday morning all!  I found this cute Easter card in one of my folders from last year!  I used the Stripes Embossing folder to add background texture to a piece of white card.  Next I made a multi-layered white frame using the Double Stitched Oval die set.  I backed it with white vellum then added it to the centre of the card.  I used the basket from the Beautiful Blossoms die set and cut it out of tan card.  I added daffodils and daisies from the Elegant Arrangements die set.  I added a yellow bow to the basket then added it to the centre of the frame.  I cut the bunny from the Easter Basket set and added him in the lower corner and the Happy Easter sentiment was cut in purple card and added to the opposite corner.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/2"  x  8 1/2"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

You Are A Great Friend

Hello bloggers!  Back to the once a day posts for a little while!  I started this card by cutting the foliage panel from the Buttercup Floral Panel die set in white several times.  I nipped it out of the frame and added them to a piece of white card covered with a sticky adhesive sheet.  Once I had all the stems in place, I covered the remaining exposed adhesive areas with Frosted Sparkle Gliterbitz.  I cut the Button Flower die in white and inked the piece with distress inks to colour the flowers and stem.  I added it to a backing covered with an adheisve sheet too and used more Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz on it.  I cut the frame in white and added the panel on top.  I seated it to the left side of the card with mounting foam.  I used the You Are A Great Friend cut in black and glued it to the right corner of the panel.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2"  x  8"in size.  All for now, Sue x

Nautical Adventures Paper Pad

Hi bloggers!  The final post of the April relase is actually for the matching Nautical themed Paper Pad.  This set has 24 single sided pages, which includes 12 designs with two of each.  The designs have all been done in varying shades of blue from a deep navy to a sky blue.  I love that the designs are small so theywork well in the backgrounds.  I included another card earlier in the release that used one of the background designs.  I decided to show this card that features one of the Stained Glass designs from earlier in the year as I think these look amazing with these papers too.  I am giving away one of the paper pads along with the dies so just leave a comment on this post and you will be entered into the drawing.  Don't forget to check the list of winners on the 19th of April to see if your name is on the list!  All for now,  Sue x

Under The Sea Creatures

Hello bloggers!  The final post of the day is dedicated to the Under The Sea Creatures.  There are eleven dies in this set that includes several different types of fish, a lobster, a crab, seahorse, starfish, sea turtle, san dollar and some bubbles.  This is essentially another worker set to use.  These creatures are a bit larger than you may have in some older sets, but they still work well together and build on the older sets in fact.  I will ask you again, leave your comment on this post if you would like to try to win this set.  We do still have one more post to come tomorrow but  not dies, but still great fun!  Please join me back here at 6am for the start of the last day!  All for now, Sue x

Fun In The Sun

Hello crafters!  The last of the new mini expressions is the Fun In The Sun sentiment!  It isn't for any particular occasion but it does add to the underwater/nautical themed cards I think.  This one works well for holiday cards, retirement cards and so many others!  Just an all around fun card to make and receive (this one is a shaker card so even more fun to receive!)  If this one is calling your name, you know what to do, a quick comment is all you need!  We have one final post for today and that will be on the blog at 6pm UK time.  All for now, Sue x

Aquatic Plants

Hi bloggers!  The Aquatic Plants die set is up next.  This is definitey one of those sets that I could describe as a "worker" set!  It gives you the tools to put together some great underwater scenes with a wide variety of the aquatic plants to use.  There are five very different types of seagrasses that can be mixed and matched to provide some beautiful backdrops for your cards and projects!  I dare say that you could probably even use them among your garden themed cards too to add fullness and variety, they don't have to be just for underwater!  I also would like to mention that the background is actually one of the pages from the Nautical themed paper pad too in its blue and white stripes (more on that later).  Just leave a comment on this post if this set is to your liking!  All for now, Sue x

Scuba Diver

Hello and welcome back!  This next post is dedicated to the Scuba Diver die set.  This set comes with eight dies, icluding the scuba diver of course, two sentiments,  a treasure chest and various accessories for the treasure chest and bubbles for the scuba diver.  I love how fun it is to make underwater themed cards by using embossed acetate to simulate the water!  It really adds a fun edge to the cards, don't you think?  This set is one that I think you will use again and again so why not add your name to the comments on the post and possibly win it!  We have one final post today and it will be online at 6pm.  All for now, Sue x
