Neptune

Hello bloggers!  The next set on offer is the Neptune die set.  There are a whopping nine dies in this set, including Neptune of course, an octopus, a dolphin, several accessories for Neptune including a trident, crown, seashells and waves to use.  I love that this set works so well with all the other nautical themed sets from previous releases as well as being fairly gender neutral too.  Think of those pesky guy cards we all need to make from time to time and I think the Neptune set might be a real go to die set to use!  I have also forgotten to mention that the Pintest button is on all the posts so if you would like to save any of the samples for later inspiration, please feel free to do so!  The next post will be along at 3pm UK time today, hope to see you back here then!  All for now, Sue x

Message In A Bottle

Hello there my crafty friends!  Here we are on day two and I am starting out with the Message In A Bottle die set.  This set comes complete with four dies, two that are sentiments and the bottle and the message scroll.  I have long been fasinated by the idea of finding a message in a bottle someday washing up on a beach somewhere so I just had to incorporate it into this nautical themed release.  If you like the idea of this too, you just need to add your comment on to the blog post and you will be entered into the drawing to possibly win this lovely die set!  If you need some instruction on how to do it, just have a look at the right hand side of the blog as there are full instructions for you to easily follow.  Please don't forget to make your name memorable in some way before posting your comment to the blog!  I shall return at noon with the second post of the day.  All for now, Sue x

Friends Are Like Seashells

Hello there crafters!  The final post of the day is dedicated to the first of the mini expressions.  This set is a duo set called Friends Are Like Seashells.  The other half of the saying says "They Are All Unique."  I love the way it frames the frames too!  If you liked the frames, you are probably going to want a beautiful sentiment to go with it, right?  Go ahead and pop your comment on this post and be part of this drawing.  What have you got to lose!  Someone will win it, why not you!  This is the end of day one, but we have more for you starting tomorrow at 6am!  Hope to see you back here then.  All for now, Sue x

You Are My Anchor Frame

Hello crafters!  Welcome back!  We have one final frame in the release and this one is called the You Are My Anchor Frame.  This set has five dies including a matching sentiment so you are really good to go with this one!  I love that it is very gender neutral but is great for anyone that loves a nautical theme!  It is great for paper piecing, as I have done here, or even colouring drectly on to the die cut, your choice!  The smaller rope frame for the sentiment is still large enough to fit other sentiments from your collection if you desire to make it into a birthday card or even something like a retirement card!  This is a fabulous set that I am sure you are going to want to try your hand at winning!  Don't forget to leave your comments on this post!  There is one final post today and that is at 6pm here on the blog.  All for now, Sue x

Underwater Life Frame

Hi bloggers!  The next offering is beautiful frame called the Underwater Life Frame.  This frame sits vertically and has an open top on it.  It is a bit different not to have a frame fully enclosed but I liked the added options this allows.  You can easily extend it and add more elements to enclise it if desired.  There are four dies in this set which include the frame and shadow backing die as well as two sentiments.  What do you think of this one, is it calling your name?  You just need to add your comment onto this post to be in the running to possibly win this one.  The third post of the day will be on the blog at 3pm UK time, hope you can join us back here then!  All for now, Sue x

April Die Release Blog Launch/ Under The Waves Frame

Hello there my crafty friends!  It's time for the April Blog Launch starting today!  We have twelve dies we are releasing as well as a matching paper pad.  As always, I will be giving away one set of each of the dies and the paper pad this release.  You just need to leave a comment on the blog post of whatever die (or paper pad) you would like to possibly win.  I will do a drawing for the lucky winners and the full list of winners will be posted on April 19th in the afternoon.  Please make sure to make your name memorable in some way as I only have one set of  each to give away.
We are starting out with one of my personal favourites, the Under The Waves frame.  I love that this die does all the work for you to create a stunning card!  I decided to keep this one very muted and soft (but it does have a beautiful shimmer to it that you will be able to see in close ups when it has it's full day on the blog soon).  This set has two dies in it, the frame and a shadow backing die for it too.  It is really easy to add some of the elements in a dimensional manner too.  Don't forget to leave your comment if this set is singing to you.  I will return at noon with the second post of the day!  All for now, Sue x

Miss You

Hello there my crafty friends!  I was doing a bit of experimenting with the background on today's card and love the way it came out!  Unfortunately it really needs to be seen in person to see all the beautiful detail, but I used white gloss card instead of coconut white card and it gives a beautiful shine to the Pixie powders.  I used Aqua Lagoon and Teal Wash Pixie Powders sprinkled on to the white gloss card then spritzed with water.  I covered it with cling film to create the texture.  I used the Clipped Corner Rectangle dies to made a wide white frame.  I added the frame with mounting foam.  I cut the Buttercup Floral Panel in both green and powder pink.  I nipped the green flower panel away from the edges, then glued the pink flowers on top from the other die cut.  I cut the foliage panel in white and nipped it away from the frame.  I added both pieces to the frame, then used the Miss You sentiment cut in white at the top of the frame.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7"  x 8 1/4"  in size.

A quick note to tell you that the April Die Release starts tomorrow at 6am.  I hope you will be able to join us back here then.  All for now, Sue x

Sending Much Love

Good Sunday morning!  A clean and simple offering for today's card.  I started with a caught in crystal background that used Teal Marine Pixie Sparkles and Cosmic Lacquer on acetate, then covered with crinkled tissue paper.  I used the Slimline Double Stitched Frames and added a white frame around it.  I used the Slimline Essential Frames and cut a thin frame in black that I added to the white frame.  I inked the Butterfly Stampcut die in black and ran it through the die cutting machine.  I used Distress Markers to colour it then glittered it and added it to the right side of the card.  I cut the Sending Much Love sentiment in black and glued it on the left side of the card.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 5"  x  9 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Happy Retirement

Hi crafters!  I started with a piece of Cobalt Blue card and used the Pearl Whisper Airless Mister across it to give the illusion of a peaceful nighttime sky.  I used the moon from the Moonlit Owl die set cut out of silver card and glued it in the upper corner.  I cut the House Front Shaped Card die out of Arctic Blue card.  I added tan roofs and shutters to all the windows.  From the House Accessories die set, I used white vellum for the curtains behind the windows with a bit of yellow ink behind them to look like the lights were on.  I added a couple of topiaries and a wreath to the door.  The dog was sitting outside the house while the cat is in the doorway.  I cut the Happy Retirement sentiment in white and attached it to the side of the house.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 3/4"  x  7 3/4"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

You Are Simply The Best Ever

Hello crafters!  I started by selecting a vivid blue pixied background from my stash for the start of today's card.  The background was created using Midnight Blue and Aqua Lagoon Pixie Powders.  I cut the Noble Vintage Labels in white a couple of times.  I cut the three largest sizes and situated them in opposite directions in the centre of the card.  I cut one of the smaller ones and raised it as a frame around the sentiment.  I cut the You Are Simply The Best Ever in black and glued it to the inside of the frame and added the frame across the centre of the card with foam mounting tape to raise it.  I cut the foliage die from the Buttercup Floral Panel and used it coming from the corners inwards towards each other.  I added some pale pink and aqua flowers using the Mini Cosmos die set.  I added one more pink flower and leaves near the sentiment.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 8"  x  8 3/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x
