The Baby Collection

Hello there my crafty friends!  I ask you, what baby collection wouldn't be complete without an It's A Boy and It's A Girl die set!  I decided to make them two separate dies so you have your choice based on your needs.  Both die sets have the same signature stitching incorporated in to the designs so there is a real feel of cohesion within the collection too.  The die has been designed so it can easily be nipped apart if you just want to use the word boy or girl too.  These dies look stunning when used on clean and simple styled projects as there is enough detail to carry the card without being overwhelming.  Leave your comments on this one and then try to join us back here for the final post of the day at 6pm.  All for now, Sue x

The Baby Collection

Hi bloggers and welcome back!  Yes it is another shadow box sample, but it also shows off both the Little Treasures die set and the Scalloped Lattice Frames Set B (as well as the Stuffed animals and Shadow Box).  You can see several of the dies from the Little Treasures in the upper boxes and the Scalloped Lattice die has been used behind the Stuffed animals and the outer frames in the set have been used to add the multi layer frame around it.  This set works not only by itself, but also in conjunction with the previously release Lattice Stitched Frames so that you have the mat layers that fall in between the original sizes.  It is a real go to set for many more cards than just your baby themed creations.  Leave a comment if you like these.  The next post is at 3pm today.  I would love to see you back here then.  All for now, Sue x

The Baby Collection

Hi bloggers!  Another two-fer post for you this hour and aren't they just so sweet too!  The Stuffed Animals die set and the Stitched Doodle Flowers are both on offer during this blog post.  As shown in the sample, they work so nicely together, creating just the perfect card for a new baby, don't you think?   I have paired them with the Double Pierced Noble Circles to give them their own little cubbyhole area on the card.  The Stuffed animals have a cute stitched edge to them, giving them just the perfect amount of sweetness and the Stitched Doodle Flowers just fit the baby theme so nicely; a perfect pairing I think!  Leave a comment on this post to be entered into the drawing to win either of these sets.  Which one do you like best, I would love to hear your thoughts.  Don't forget to use the "pin it" button, which I have included at the bottom of each and every blog post for you!  There is another post going live at 12 noon today so please be sure to join us back here for it.  All for now, Sue x

Indian Ocean Collection

Hi bloggers!  Welcome back to the final blog post of the first day of the launch.  Since we are still in the Indian Ocean, no collection would be complete without a visit to The Maldives, now would it??  This post is completely dedicated to the Maldives die set.  This die set has a lovely linear feel to it, with pretty swirls as well as nice angles.  Don't forget, all the inside die shapes can be used as mats and layers for each other as they are all graduated in size.  Inside and outside cutting edges give you so much versatility for your card layouts too.  Leave a comment on this post to ensure entry into this drawing and a shot at winning this set.  Well, that;s it for today, but we start the day at 6am tomorrow with something that is a bit different for me.  I do hope you will like tomorrow's offerings!  All for now, Sue x

Indian Ocean Collection

Hello all!  Did you guess the Seychelles??  It has long been a place on my bucket list, but for now I will just have to be content with the die of that name! LOL  Shown here cut in black nestled above the Mauritius die,you can see just how well they work together.  The Seychelles die set is a bit smaller in size, but with beautiful detail.  As well as working with the rest of the Indian Ocean collection,it will look lovely with so many of your other dies from previous releases.  If you want a chance of winning this die set, just leave a comment on this blog post.  I would love to hear your thoughts and comments on what you have seen so far, do you have a favourite yet or is it still too early?      We have one more post scheduled for today and that one will be winging it's way to you at 6pm sharp.  I hope you can join us back here then to see the final die in the new Indian Ocean Collection.  All for now, Sue x

Indian Ocean Collection

Hello and welcome back!  This blog post is dedicated to showcasing the new Mauritius die set.  It is the largest die of the three shaped dies in the collection, but absolutely stunning!  It has a lovely design with a linear background to it so it is very striking and a real go to die set as it looks great on any card.  I have crisscrossed it here to create a more square background for my sentiment.  I would love to know what you think so far.  Please leave your comments (for me and to be entered into the drawing to win a die)LOL   Don't forget to "pin" your favourite cards and dies, I have included the pin button at the bottom of each post.  Want to see what island is up next?  Meet me back here at 3pm and I will reveal it to you!  All for now, Sue x

Indian Ocean Collection

Hi crafters!  I have two die sets on offer for this post; the Indian Ocean Borders and Corners as well as the Indian Ocean Tag Duo set.  The sample shows how you can use the borders and corners to create a lovely surround for your cards and projects.  Both an inside corner and an outside matching corner have been included in the set for maximum use and value.  The tags are nicely sized to add for layering or are suitable for those smaller cards you may enjoy making too.  Both sets are designed to compliment the other dies in the Indian Ocean Collection but work equally as well on their own.  Please leave a comment to be entered into this drawing and don't forget to check back for the next blog post.  It is scheduled to arrive at 12 noon sharp!  All for now, Sue x

2016 Sept. Blog Launch/ Indian Ocean Collection

Hello bloggers!  Welcome to the fourth die release of 2016!  I am always a bit excited and a bit nervous every time I have a new die release, but I think I am more excited this time! I have really enjoyed creating with this latest release!  I have decided to start with my latest country collection which, as it happens is actually an Ocean instead of a country!  Introducing the Indian Ocean Collection.  First up today is the Background to the collection.  I had a lot of fun making a split negative design for this sample (I just love my black and white with a pop of colour!)  I do hope this one will whet your appetite for the rest to follow.  As always, one of each die design will be given away through drawings that will be done and posted after the launch so you want to be sure to leave comments on each and every blog post for the next five days to be included in as many drawings as possible.  I will post the winners of the dies on Tuesday Sept 20th.  The drawings will have to be delayed slightly as I will be away doing Ally Pally shortly after the launch.  Again as always, since I have many people with the same first names on the blog, I ask that you sign your comments with either your full name, an alias, a funny nickname, perhaps the city you live in (such as Janice in Brighton) or some other way in which to identify you as that person.  I only have one set to give away so I need to make sure that you know that it is you if your name is drawn.  One comment per person per post please.  I know that duplicates sometimes get done by accident so I will remove any extras, but there will be 25 blog posts so 25 chances to win!  The next blog post will be at 10am today so lease check back then!  All for now,
Sue x

Wednesday Weekly Card Giveaway

Hi bloggers!  Today's card giveaway is one of the demos from my past shows in June.  It is always nice when I have an duplicate card to giveaway!  I selected milk card for the background and cut two wide strips and embossed them with the Jacobean Floral embossing folder.  I matted both pieces with a thin milk mat and added mounting foam to the backs.  I cut two of the Belgian Borders in milk and used them on the inside strips of the borders, but since the borders were shorter in length than the embossed strips, I cut them and placed the pieces to the inside top and bottom of the strips,  The centre section where the cut edges were I was easily able to cover with the focal element.  I stamped the Sweet Summer Stamp To Die For in black and used Distress markers to colour it.  I covered it with a sticky adhesive sheet and glittered it with Diamond Snow then cut it out with the matching Antwerp die shape.  I cut the centre out as well to create a frame.  I added a decorative centre using the Brussels die in milk card and seated the frame over it with mounting foam.  I added a sentiment cut from the centre oval.  Finally the card was accented with milk and blush coloured Poppies of various sizes cut from the Exquisite Poppy die set and a messy bow of ivory satin ribbon.  Milk mats and layered were added to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 7" x  8 1/2" in size.
Please leave a comment to be included in the drawing to win this one.  There will be a slight delay in announcing the winner as we start a five day blog launch for the next die release here in the morning!  I will announce the winner of this card after the blog launch has finished.
