Have A Joyful Christmas

Hello bloggers!  I covered a piece of card with a sticky adhesive sheet then peeled the backing off and coated it with Golden Jewels Gilding Flakes.  I used the Snowflake Solitude embossing folder and added texture to it.  Next I cut the Ornate Oval die in black and white and offset them together, then cut the centre out.  I added a backing to it which I made by cutting the Swirling Rays Background into another piece of gilded card.  I added a white backing behind it then added the entire piece to the centre of the card.  I cut the Have A Joyful Christmas in black and glued it to the inside of the frame.  I cut the 2021 Christmas Angel in black and added a whte glittered backing to it, then mounted it to the right of the frame.  I inked and stamped two of the Poinsettia Stampcuts and added them to the left of the frame with white leaves and glittered centres.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7"  x  8 1/2"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

Morning Sue, hi to a room full of really lovely friends.

I'm not sure Sue, sorry. Separately the dies are beautiful, I'm not one that's so keen on Angels, this years young lady looks like she's shaking her booty or doing salsa, the ornate oval has always taken my eye, and your poinsettia stampcut is absolutely beautiful so much intricate detail but the full design isn't one of my favourites so far this year I'm sorry. I hope everyone is ok and keeping safe and well. I'm so grateful to you all xxxx

Good Morning Sue. This is a lovely card today. Everything about it ticks all my boxes ... except ... this year's Angel. I have three of your beautiful angels ... I dust them off every year ... and look after them. But somehow this year's Angel doesn't " do it " for me. So sorry Sue. It would be a ,boring world if we all loved and disliked the same things. But Thank you so much for everything you bring to us.
Sending hugs 🤗 and best wishes to everyone who needs them today.
PLEASE PLEASE KEEP STAYING SAFE 🙏 🙏 🙏.
Kind regards Ann Toppcards in Leeds

Hi Sue, I am in two minds about today's card. I love the background and both the Ornate Oval die and the Swirling Rays Background and think that maybe I would be tempted to leave it there.

The Golden Jewels Gilding Flakes make a gorgeous background. The sentiment is beautiful with the combination of block letters and the script and flourishes on the word "Joyful." Hugs.

Sadly, I can’t take to this card - I think the black is too harsh, sorry.

Hi Sue
Sorry I’m late posting today! I love the background I’ve never tried embossing gilding flakes so that’s gone on my ‘to do’ list thanks for sharing.

Morning Sue - wow, I didn’t know it was possible to emboss gilding flakes!! Definitely going to give that a go! And those poinsettias are absolutely stunning in black and white - breathtaking actually. Yet another brilliant idea, thank you Sue! Colleen x
