Always & Forever

Hi crafters!  I love the way this card came out, but it sat on my desk for quite awhile before I figured out what I thought it needed! I started by cutting the Crux Gemini die into opposite corners.  I used a sticky adhesive sheet and coated it with Iced Snow, then mounted it under the card with the acetate side upwards showing through the corners.  Next I used a piece of card that I had covered with Lava Red and Emerald Green Pixie powders.  I cut the Heather backing die out of it, six of the Passion Flowers and the sentiment.  I added the decorative Heather die in white to the backing.  I cut the centre of the Sophia die in white and cut it in half.  I mounted it so it was sticking out from behind the Heather die and attached it in the centre of the card.  I used the centre of the Michelle die as a backing for the sentiment, which was cut from the Wedded Bliss Frame  I added small earls to each of the flowers and mounted them in opposite corners, adding a thin satin ribbon bow and decorative leaves.  The card was completed with white on white mats.  The finished dimensions are 8" x 8" in size.  All for now, Sue x

It's 5 O'Clock Somewhere

Good Sunday morning all! How about this for a cheeky card! LOL  I started with a piece of coconut white card and used the Retail Therapy stamp set to stamp the small cocktail glasses all over the background.  I sprayed it with spray glue and added a layer of Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz.  I wrapped a piece of striped grosgrain ribbon around the card and taped the ends to the back.  I stamped a piece of coconut white card with the sentiment and cut it out with a double Stitched Rectangle die.  I added a black mat to it.  I cut the Cosmopolitan die out of white card and used some Tumbled Glass on the stem.  I cut a piece of pale pink card and glued it atop the glass.  Next I cut the outer wraparound piece out of acetate.  I folded it and wrapped it around the glass, taping the ends to the back.  I added some glue around the rim and sugared it with Iced Snow.  I mounted it on to the sentiment piece with foam and added a plastic cocktail mermaid (from my stash).  I added the straw and umbrella inked with Spun Sugar and cut the cherry and sword and coloured them and glued them to the base of the glass.  White and black mats were added to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2"  x 8 1/2" in size.

I still have several unclaimed dies.  Please don't forget to scroll down to see if your name is on the winning die list!   All for now, Sue x

Miss You

Hi bloggers!  The City Skyline is the subject for today's card.  I used black gloss card to cut the skyline pieces.  I decided to make rows rather than layering them on top of each other just to show another look for it.  I added them on to the circle cut in white with a sparkly moon.  Next I cut continuous strips of them and layered them in the same manner across a piece of white card that was covered with a sticky adhesive sheet.  I placed them all down then coated the exposed adhesive with Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz and added the circle to the top.  I used the Miss You mini expression in the upper corner.  White and black gloss mats and layers were used to complete the card. The finished dimensions are 7 1/4" x  7 1/4" in size.

Don't forget to check back later thus afternoon as I will be doing the drawings and posting the winners for the blog launch die release!!  All for now, Sue x

Thank You

Hello bloggers!  I have come to the very difficult decision to discontinue the Wednesday card giveaways every week.  It has become less and less popular as reflected by the comments left and it requires me to enlist the help of fellow Creative Expressions coworkers to send out the cards when I am not here.  Not to mention, the other demonstrators on our team like to use the cards for their shows so giving them away sometimes poses an issue for them.  I promise I will continue to do giveaways from time to time, but they will not be on a weekly basis, I do hope everyone understands!  For today's card, I started by cutting the Diamond Squares Background once then extending it to make a rectangular background.  I backed it with black card,  Next I cut the Ivy Garden Background circular die and inked it with Princess Pink Chalk Cloud before removing it from the die.  I backed it with black as well.  I cut a Double Pierced Noble Circle out of black and added it with foam around the Ivy circle die cur.  I cut two of the Floral Melody Corner in white and nipped away a few of the flowers to make them a tad smaller, then added in the larger flower and two smaller flowers behind it in the matching pink.  I mounted them along the sides of the circle with foam. I cut the Thank You mini expression out of white and black and shadowed it before gluing it in the centre of the circle.   I added a matching pink mat just along the top and bottom of the card.  White pink and black mats were used to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/4" x  9" in size.  All for now, Sue x
