Caring Thoughts

Good Sunday morning all!  I began this card by cutting two Canadian Borders in white and gluing them to the sides of another piece of coconut white card.  I cut the Classic Adorned Design Noble in white then backed it with Wisteria card and attached it to the centre of the card between my borders.  I cut two of the Vancouver die in white and backed them in white.  I trimmed away a small portion on both then put the two larger pieces back together to form a single die  and attached it horizontally across my background.  I cut the Montreal die in white and backed it with wisteria card then cut the centre out to create a frame.  I stamped my sentiment and cut it out with the centre of the Montreal die.  I inked it with Shaded Lilac before removing it from the die then seated the frame over the top of it.  I attached it in the centre of the card.  I added white pearls as accents then added my final mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7" x  8 1/2" in size.

There isn't a Comment Game this week because we are closed at Creative Expressions until after the New Year, (no way to send out the prizes) but we will take it back up in the New Year!

Good Morning, Sue,
A beautiful card and wonderful colours chosen. I do want to get the Canadian set soon as they will remind me of my dad, who was born in Vancouver :).
Well, my Christmas was spend alone, apart from my furry family of two and sad muppet that I am I was in bed by 6:30 and slept right round until 11:30 boxing day. I guess I could blame the cider but as I don't drink alcohol it was alco-free so shouldn't have made me so maudlin. Today I'm looking at the tree and telling myself that it should stay up until after January 1st.
I do have a project to get stuck into in the craft room later today...I'm going to try and fix my home-made paper storage unit that looks ready to collapse any minute lol. I'll see just how well I stuck it together once I make a start on it. I'm saving up to get an MDF unit in the new year so mine doesn't have to stay in once piece for too much longer.
Hands up who is sick of turkey yet...Before she moved to the other side of the country, my sister bought me a pre-Christmas gift of a turkey leg from Morrisons. She knew there was no way I would buy a turkey just for myself and I love the dark meat so a crown wasn't on the cards. The great thing about the leg is that it was divided into thigh and mega drumstick, so I only had to cook one part so...no turkey for days on end.
I'm looking forward to all the posts through 2016 and hope to learn even more new techniques.
Have a wonderful day, everyone.
Bejay xx

Hi Sue, a very pretty card today and the beautiful wisteria card is certainly earning its keep.

It seems as though everyone has had a good Christmas and now we have the New Year to look forward to with Sue on the TV!

After days of seemingly never-ending rain today dawned dry and sunny but I feel so sorry for all the people in Yorkshire, Lancashire and Cumbria. I hope none of our Wilsonettes are affected.

Good afternoon Sue and the Wilsonettes,
This is a gorgeous card Sue and with just the hint of wisteria on it here and there makes it a lovely soft elegent card. Again i don't have these dies except the noble die but i have no doubt that i can make something the same but different from my stash of beautiful dies. Sue, the Wilsonettes that come on your blog regularly each day and sometimes we can't as you know because of how we are at the time, but we come because we get inspired by the beauty that you create and the inspiration that you give us in return through your talent, not so that we can win a prize each week although the kindness in that is extrordinary, but it is because of you, your talent and you friendship so please don't think any more about there being no comment game prize because we come because of you. I hope that you had a lovely Christmas flower and i have my dvd thingy all set to record you on New Years day for more inspiration.
I hope that all the lovely Wilsonettes had a lovely Christmas with my thoughts, prayers and hugs going out to our Wilsonettes that are struggling for one reason or another, i can only hope that 2016 will be a better year for you and for all of us that have been through the year of hell and back.
Love and crafty hugs

Seasons greetings lovely Sue and her crafty crew!

What a beautiful card utilising some of your previous collections, I really appreciate the fact that you mix it up by incorporating a wide variety of dies so that there will always be some element that we can find in our collections- great to be reminded of the beauty and versatility of your Canadian collection, it inspires me to dig it out of semi retirement....all those Christmas cards have demoted my non festive dies recently! The wisteria cardstock is a refreshingly soft and Springlike shade to remind us of the brighter, drier(fingers crossed!) days ahead.
Can I just take this opportunity to Thankyou for all of your tireless hardwork and dedication to your craft...no pun intended....we are the lucky beneficiaries of your generosity and for that I will be eternally grateful. Wishing you health and happiness in the coming year Sue, you so richly deserve them in abundance.
I'm afraid that I have been absent from the blog these past few weeks, since my uncle passed away, and I have to admit that I have missed the daily ritual of reading the comments and adding my own. Unfortunately family commitments have necessitated my absence, not to mention the inevitable chaos created by the recent festivities. I sincerely hope that everyone has had an enjoyable time with family, friends and furry babies, and that Santa brought you a multitude of Sue goodies:-)...I was obviously on the naughty list this year because my request for the entire new release was ignored:-(, Nevermind, I'll just have to save the pennies in the coming months instead.
Big hugs to all my blog buddies, I've missed you loads and hope you have been well, particularly Yvonne, Beth, Wheely Bad+Billy, Tracy, Saba,Myra,Lorraine F, Linda, Rebecca, Jan, Maria and anyone else my booze addled brain has neglected to mention:-)
It's great to be backxxxx

Love and crafty hugs,

Hi Sue

Absolutely beautiful, the Canadian dies have been on the list for a little while as they are SO pretty and this card is too. Just Stunning, the colours are so elegant.

Norah, yes, 2015 has not been kind for so many here. Our crafting, this blog and Sue's generosity in what she shares with us every day is often that rope that we hold on to to pull us through. I figure a lot of people on this blog are owed some good news so 2016, bring it on! P.S hope your children are doing well, hugs xxx

Laine, I was so happy to see your post. I knew you had a lot to contend with before the festive insanities. Hope you're healing and feeling better, hugs and Billy sends wags and woofs a plenty! xxx

Bejay, I had a sleep like that boxing day! Hugs to you and your furry friends xxx

Tracy, nice to see you have him well trained!!! Hugs and hope you're feeling ok xxx

Melody and family, hugs xxx

Bedrest yesterday, my mum, her partner, my stepdad and my brothers with the eldest boys fiancee visited today. Billy didn't know who to get fuss from first! Had a little sleep this evening and once I'm done here I'll get a shattered Billy dog ready for bed. At the minute he's upside down doing that upside down dog face smile, legs akimbo with his front paws tucked up on his chest all while laying squashed on his chair... yes, it's that mix of cute and ridiculous only our pets can achieve!

Seeing Dad, stepmum and my sisters and the eldest girls boyfriend tomorrow tea time. Always nice to see them but my stepmums father recently passed away so it's doubly important I be there for them. Long, long lay in tomorrow as I must not fall asleep in the resturant!

Big hugs to all of you, plenty extra to be had so help yourself if you need to. Billy sends wags, woofs and paw hugs to his special friends- those with 2 legs, 4 legs and those with wings! Sending happy thoughts and crafty mojo to you all,

T x
