Weekly Wednesday (Double) Card Giveaway

Hi bloggers!  I remembered!  As promised, two cards to giveaway this week!  Both purple (ish) and white, but quite different.  The first card here is fairly straight forward.  I used some Graphic 45 papers from my stash as the background (can't believe I didn't micro bead them , but I didn't!)  I used the pretty strip from the Lacey Tiers die set to create a border between the two papers and cut seven more of them to create the paper bow as well.  I looped three on each side and glued them together in the centre, then cut the final one in half to form the tails of the bow.  I added a small pearl embellishment to the centre as an accent.  For the focal element, I cut the Majestic Labels 25 out of white card, using several of the decorative inserts to create a more intricate look.  I stamped my sentiment on white card and cut it out with the tag from the Filigree Delight set.  I inked it with dusty concord ink before removing it and matted it on a lavender oval before adhering it in the centre of my intricate die cut.  I added pearls to the corners and focal element, before finishing with a double white pierced mat.  Finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x 7 3/4" in size.  Scroll down to see card no. 2!

Card No. 2 is a lavender and white number as well.  I started with a piece of coconut white card and I stamped the background with the Justrite Lace Vintage Labels Three.  I used a clear Perfect Medium pad and heat embossed with white powder.  I cut four corners from the Becca Feeken Filigree Corner set and glued them in each corner.  Next I cut the Samantha Walker Delicate Doily die in white to use as the backdrop for my focal element.  I stamped the same stamp that I used on the background, but this time on lavender card and white heat embossed it.  I cut it out with the matching Vintage Labels Three die and layered it up on the Doily die.  I cut one of the smaller dies in the Delicate Doily set and added it, then stamped my sentiment on lavender card and cut it out with a smaller Vintage Labels Three die.  I inked it lightly with Dusty Concord ink and mounted it in the middle of my focal element.  I added flatback pearls to the corners and focal element.  I finished the card with a thin lavender mat before adding my signature double mats.  Finished dimensions are   7 1/2"  x  8"
 in size.
If you would like to be entered in the giveaway drawing for either of these cards, you need only leave a comment on today's post.  I will draw two winners and post their names on Saturday.  All for now, Sue x

Hi Sue, love the colours, really soft and beautiful. Like the crisp look of the backing papers without micro beads on. Hugs, Carol S.xx

Hello Sue

Beautiful cards - love the colour combination.

I'm not sure about the paper bow on the first card - the second one has given me much needed inspiration for a card I need to send to a friend who has just been diagnosed with cancer.

Thanks for the inspiration

Diana
