For A Special Friend/ Thanks Ever So Much

Morning friends!  I am fairly certain that I have made more cards with this die set than any other I have ever worked with.  So I apologise for what seems like constantly subjecting you to cards using it, but there are a lot of them!  So many so that I thought I would post two cards this time (just so you don't feel cheated! LOL)  so it's a long post today!  Back to the difficult to photograph soft gold card.  It is just so pretty in real life, but almost looks taupe in pics.  I have used taupe card along with the gold and black so you can see that it does stand out as being different.  I started by simply embossing the largest die in the Elegant Labels Four set into the background of the soft gold card.  Next I cut the smaller die from the centre.  I pushed all the fall away pieces out and then reinserted it into the background.  I taped it back into place from the back.  I used my piercing ruler to add some detail around the edge of this piece then added mounting foam on the back to the centre of it and around the edges where the embossing is.  I placed a piece of black glitter card behind it so that it showed through where the cut out detail was.  I stamped my sentiment on taupe card and cut it out with the Adorning Squares.  I added in a smaller die during the embossing segment to add more detail to it.  I cut two pieces of black card with the same Adorning squares die and mounted all three diagonally in the centre of my card overlapping.  I matted the entire piece on taupe card before adding a double black mat.  I finished the piece with Cosmic Shimmer black PVA glue dots around the edge and a few black flatback pearls in the corners and on the die cuts.  Finished dimensions are 7" x 9" in size.

For the second card today, same die, completely different look to it though.  I am kind of enjoying this pale green shade and have used it a bit lately.  It just looks so fresh and springy, doesn't it!  This one is very straightforward.  I cut the large Elegant Labels Four die in coconut white and layered it on another piece of white.  I used my Floral Posey Stamp from the Stamps To Die For Range and stamped it with a Clear Perfect Medium pad.  I heat embossed it in Cosmic Shimmer True White embossing powder and cut it out with the Elegant Labels Four die.  I stamped my sentiment on coconut white card and cut it out with a small Stately Circle die.  I inked through it with Bundled Sage distress ink and mounted it in the middle.  I tied a messy bow out of white seam binding and spritzed it with water and scrunched it for a shabby chic look.  I finished the bow with a matching green Dazzler.  I finished this card with Cosmic Shimmer white PVA glue dots around it then added a double white mat with a pierced inner layer.  Finished dimensions are 6" x 8" in size.  I hope you like the two different looks of the Elegant Labels Four die set.  All for now, Sue x

What a difference colour makes - I love the format of the first of today's gift but not the colour scheme and for the second I really love everything about it.
Number 1 is a little too dark for me although I do like monochrome, black, gold etc but this just did not touch me.
Number 2 is totally different - the colours are fresh and as you say 'springy' and although I do not use a lot of green this really hit the spot.

2 lovely cards, the first great for a man and the second nicely feminine. Have to admit that the one with the green shades is my favourite.
