My computer is letting me have a little play online so I thought I'd put up a quick post.  I haven't been able to download any new card sample pics so I'll have to settle on this one.  It was one of the samples from my Vintage Christmas show a while back, but I never got around to posting it on the blog.  Quite a simple card, using mostly border punches and piercing, but the centre was made using six of the nestibility dies that are usually used for text stamping.  I crisscrossed them behind the deer in the middle to create a similar border.  I finished the card with a few pearl embellishments and a ribbon.  All for now, Sue x

I don't think I've seen these text dies yet. Now you have me wondering how they are normally used. I guess a tour of the Spellbinders site is in order one of these days.

I love this! Love how you used the points on the text frame around your image. I'm going to have to get mine out and play!

Quite a different take on the seasonal card, though I think I can spot a bit of tartan there. Like the piercing too.

what a lovely card, such great use of your dies. The border punches are so versatile, being able to do almost any size. Love the little stamp too. Hope you had (or are still having) a great holiday with your family.

Best wishes

I can never get the punches to work straight

As usual uber creative. I think I am going to go and copy this one. I too have been playing with my Spellbinder dies and finding new ways to give them a new life.
Thanks.
Bonjen3...what is happening when you are punching? If it is a strip just make sure that you are lining up your cut image with the pattern and not pushing it further into the punch than necessary--this would definitely throw off your lines.

Nice card. My computer won't even let me in my own blog, so I came to visit my daughter & use hers to check whats going on.

Love the simplicity of the layout and colors used.

Howdy, I think your site may be having internet browser compatibility issues.

When I take a look at your blog in Safari, it looks fine
however, when opening in IE, it's got some overlapping issues. I just wanted to provide you with a quick heads up! Aside from that, fantastic website!
