Last Of The Jungle Cards

I was hoping to put this blog up yesterday, but my computer had other ideas.   It has been a bad week for me and computers as the Particraft computer at work on Friday gave me an ominous message that said "hard drive failure imminent" and that was as far as it went for me.  No turning on, no checking emails, nothing.  Not a good sign.  So the tech guys have come and taken it away to be fixed.  If you sent me an email and haven't gotten a reply, this is why.  It is supposed to be sorted by early week so please be patient.  Then Saturday, my laptop followed in it's footsteps and decided it wasn't going to play nice either!  So I spent most of yesterday getting it sorted out, so I didn't get a chance to post the last of my jungle cards as promised.  Computers!  You either love them or hate them, depending on how they are behaving for you, huh?

Thank you for all the lovely emails this morning.  It was really nice to know that there were some of you watching at that early hour (from under the comfort of the duvet I hope!)  It is always such a blur to me when I am doing one of those shows.  All the things that I forget to say or do (Like forgetting to get the stamp for the demo ready, what a blonde moment that was!)  At least I was only trying to demo a card, not do brain surgery thankfully!

I did spend a fair amount of time this week looking for a few jungle cards that I had made a while back and could not for the life of me find them anywhere.  I finally gave up the search and a few days later,  I remembered that one of the stamping magazines had requested some samples for an article they were doing on the jungle stamps.  So hopefully that issue should be out soon so if you have purchased the jungle stamps, you will have a few more ideas for them from the article.

These are the last of the jungle cards that I had pics of that weren't too bad.  The two ridiculously bright cards are my favs, but if they don't appeal to your tastes I have included a more masculine, less in your face type card!  Hope to have your comments on them (just really want to see if I'm the only one out there that loves colour on a card! LOL)  Happy stamping, Sue x

Hi Sue you did a fantastic job this morning, you even had me going through the bin to retreive the off cuts of my stamps, that was a brilliant technique. I love all the samples shown, but i must admit the brighter the better. These are becoming my favorite stamps. I have had so many ideas for them, but unfortunately today i have had to tidy up and try and make room for my ever increasing crafty stash. Kath x

Oh, these are such versatile cards. They are so cute and can be for both a boy or girl, how amazing. I'm in AWE with your work. Keep it up.

P.S. I know how it feels like not being able to use your computer. I'm so used to it that if I don't get to use it for one day, I feel naked.

These are terrific. I'm off to get my sets out to play with again. What did you do with the rubber offcuts? I missed the show as I was sitting at Gatwick airport waiting for my daughter's flight to come in! Pam

I love love love the bright cards, especially the first one with the bright coloured paper animals. Really enjoyed the programme too, I was glued to the screen and have it taped for ref. I have little cut out animals all over my craft desk atm waiting to go on cards, a bad habit of mine as I love the colouring bit. Then, when I do go to make a card I find the elephant I have coloured is the wrong shade of pink anyway and away I go again lol.

Thanks for a wonderful show and great samples

Fab show yesterday. I did email in but someone at C&C doesn't like me as they never seem to read my emails lately. Love the rubber offcut technique. Thanks for the inspiration, Sue. xx

"Sue's Stamping Show" was a resounding success. Both the brights and darker colours work perfectly with these stamps - such versatility. Is your work featuring in Craft Stamper? Look forward to your next show.

Sue, could have sworn that I'd left a message on yesterday. Wanted to say that I enjoyed the show and now I know what to do with all of the bits and pieces of rubber I have been saving. I knew being a pack rat would pay off one day.
Thanks for the great ideas.
