Get Well Soon

Hello bloggers!  I started this card by cutting the Butterfly Breeze Cover Plate with a piece of black card on top of a piece of white card.  I coloured the butterflies on the whit copy then glued the black die cut on top of it. I nipped away the three butterflies from the rest of the die cut  I cut a Looped Rectangle in black, then added a white frame made using the Clipped Corner Rectangles.  I added mounting foam to the back of the frame and attached it to a piece of white card.  I layered that on top of the Looped Rectangle.  I added the three butterflies to the bottom of the frame with mounting foam.  I cut the get Well Soon sentiment out of lilac card and shadowed it with black, then glued it inside the frame.  I cut a larger piece of white car and glittered the edges with Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz then added the frame to the middle of the card.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4"  x  8"  in size.

Thanks Friend

Good Sunday morning all!  I started today's card by cutting the Floral Dream Cover Plate twice out of white card.  I used my double cutting method on both of them but I used the bottom white copy just to glue to the top die cut piece.  I cut the same die two more times, but out of antique gold card both times.  I used the fall away pieces and paper pieced them back into the design.  I covered a larger piece of black card with a sticky adhesive sheet.  I peeled the backing paper off and sprinkled Pink Sunset Gilding Flakes on it.  I used a piece of Rubit Scrubit pad to move the flakes around and then refine and remove the excess flakes.  I glued both of the Cover Plates facing each other on to the gilded background.  I cut the Thanks Friend out of Antique Gold card and glued them to either side of the card.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4"  x  9 3/4"  in size.

Do What You Love

Hello bloggers!  I started today's card by cutting the Hexagon Background out of white card.  I covered another piece of white card with a sticky adhesive sheet, then added the Hexagon Background to it.  I filled in the sticky areas with Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz.  I used the Double Stitched Squares and cut a white frame.  I added mounting foam to the back of the frame and added it over the hexagon background.  Using the Looped Squares, I cut a small looped square out of Slate Grey card and added it to the middle of the frame.  I cut the Bookshop out of blush card and added grey windows, door and awning.  I cut the sign out of white card and used a fine tipped felt pen to write the name on it.  I cut the lamppost and added it next to the book shop.  I cut the Do What You Love sentiment from the Wordie sheets and added it to the bottom of the frame.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7"  x  7" in size.
