Fabulous Birthday / Sneak Peek

Good Sunday Morning all!  Another sneak peek for today's shows, but before I launch into the rundown, I do need to point out that I had the time incorrectly listed for my second show.  I am going to be on today at 12 to 2pm (Tool Shed) and from 7 to 8pm (not the 5 to 6pm that I originally listed on the side of my blog).  Today's card showcases one of the background stamps that I just adore called Floral Harvest by Justrite stamps.  I have done at least a half of dozen samples with it and they all look very different.  It works well with a variety of crafty products, making it a very versatile stamp indeed.  Probably in it's simplest form here, I have just stamped it onto milk coloured card using a black archival ink pad.  I coloured the image with Tim Holtz distress markers using the forest moss, worn lipstick, dried marigold, antique linen, tea dye and shabby shutters. I cut the centre of the image out using a rectangle die shape.   I stamped the image again and cut out both the braided frame area in the middle of the design and the banner area at the bottom by hand.  I stamped a sentiment in the banner and then mounted both pieces on foam and placed them over the original stamped image for dimension.  I stamped the image one more time in black and added a sentiment from the Grand Birthday Sentiments by Justrite.  I glued it underneath my original so it showed through my aperture and lined up with the flowers, giving a 3D look.  I matted it on blush card, then finished with a double mat done in milk coloured card with a pierced inner layer.  Finished dimensions are 6 1/4" x 7 1/2" in size.

It's that time again to announce the weekly Comment Game winners.  We have two sets again this week as we had another extra qualifying post.

I do hope you can tune in to see the shows today as I have loads of demos with fun techniques (the first one doesn't even have a die cut in it, can you believe it!)  All for now, Sue x
