For You
Hi crafters! I have really been enjoying our Cosmic Shimmer line recently and I pulled out the Gilding Polish to make this card. I started with a piece of white card and randomly swiped Powder Blue and
Blossom Gilding Polish across it. I allowed it to dry well then embossed it with the Sunburst Frame embossing folder for texture. I used the Double Stitched Squares and cut two thin frames out of white card. I mounted the larger one in a diamond orientation, then mounted the smaller one across it in a square orientation. Next I used the Decorative Squares die set and cut two smaller squares. I mounted then in the same manner on top. I stamped the For You sentiment in the smaller sqaure in black ink. I cut several flowers out of a leftover bit of the background card using the Magnolia Corner die set flowers and assembled them and added them to the side of my sentiment. The card was completed with white mats and layers. The finished dimesnions are 7" x 8 1/2" in size. All for now, Sue x

Time To Be Jolly
Hi crafters! I thought it was time to share a penguin card with you! Isn't he a cutie! I started with the Falling Snow mask taped to a piece of coconut white card. I used Stellar Ice Luna Paste through the Falling Snow mask for the appearance of snow in the background. I peeled the mask off and set it aside to dry well. Next I made a multi-layered square frame using the Double Stitched Squares and coconut white card. I cut a sloped hill using the Stitched Hills and Cloud die set and glued it to the dry background. Next I cut the igloo out of white card. I used a pale blue pencil and a gray pencil to add highlight and detail to the igloo. I coated it with glue and added Iced Snow for a frosty look. I cut a second igloo and nipped away just the front area, repeated the same process on it then glued it over the same area on the first one to give a more dimensional look to it. I added the igloo with foam to the higher side of the sloped hill. I cut the penguin from the Penguin Palace set out of both white and black and glued them together. I added a hat and scarf out of red and ice skates out of white. I used a silver paint pen on the skates. I added an orange beak and some pink cheeks, the added a snowball out of Iced Snow on his hat. I added him with foam and made a small lake using Luna Paste for him to stand on. The North Pole was added behind the igloo and I used a thin marker to highlight the words. I stamped the first part of the sentiment in black and cut it out and added it to the top of the card. I cut the Jolly die (die/stamp combo) in both Ruby Red and black and glued them below the stamped setiment. Once the background was fully dry, I attached the frames over it and trimmed away any excess card. I used the fall away snowflakes form the Snowflake and Swirl Background cut out of a piece of card I covered with some Luna Paste and glued them in opposite corners. The card was completed with white, black and red mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 8 1/4" x 8 1/4" in size. All for now. Sue x

Especially For You
Hi there my crafty friends! I have been playing with the new Opal Blaze products. They are designed to be used on dark coloured card. I used them here on black card by adding a little bit of all the seven colours of the Opal Blaze on to a piece of black card. When you tilt the card, the colours of the Opal Blaze change colours. I decided to use the Paulette Background to cut into the card. I cut another Paulette die out of whitre card and used it as an offset shadow behind the black die cut. Next I used the Paulette Edgers to cut three pieces of decorative card out of white and added it on top of the background in the matching areas. I backed the entire piece with black card, then made a multi-layered frame using the Double Stitched Rectangles out of white card and attached it over the background. I cut a wide piece of vellum and attached it in the middle of the background from side to side. I cut the Especially For You sentiment out of white and black card, shadowed the sentiment then added it to the vellum strip. The card was completed with white and black mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 6 3/4" x 8" in size. All for now, Sue x

Have A Magical Day
Hello bloggers! I selected aqua card for my background colour for today's offering. I used the Starflower Flourish die and cut it four times out of white card. I covered the aqua card with a sticky adheisve sheet, peeled the backing paper off and laid the four die cuts vrtically on to the sticky sheet. I used Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz to fill in the exposed adhesive. Next I usef the Double Stictched Rectangles to cut it into three pieces. I glued the outermost section flat to a piece of white card. I used mounting foam on the next section to raise it, then added it to the background. I added twice the amount of the mounting foam to the inside rectangle to raise it up so it stairstepped up from the outside and middle rectangle and added it to the centre of the card. I stamped the Jasmine stamps onto Powder Pink card and cut them out with the matching Jasmine dies, enough to make three different sized flowers. I added them in opposite corners and used Magnolia Corner cut in white as accents around them. I cut the Have A Magical Day out of pink and black card. I used the black as a shadow behind the pink cut and then glued it to the centre of the card. The card was completed with white and aqua mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 7" x 8 1/2" in size. All for now. Sue x

Wishing You Well
Hi crafters! Don't you just love the colour combo of teal, black and white! It really pops off the page I think! I started by cutting the Delilah Background out of white and teal card. I used the Delilah Edgers to cut away the sides on the white die cut. I offset them on top of the teal background, then backed the entire piece with black card. I used the Delilah Edgers again to cut two white pieces that I glued to the top of the background. I covered a small pieece of white card with a sticky adhesive sheet then cut a circular frame using the Double Stitched Circle die set. I peeled the backing off and coated it with Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz then added mounting foam to the back of it. I added it over a white circle, then added it to the centre of the background. I cut the Wishing You Well die out of teal and black card and offset the black die cut behind as a shadow. I glued it inside the circular frame. I cut several small teal flowers from the Blossom Patch set and glued them to the frame. The card was completed with white, teal and black mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 6" x 7" in size. All for now,
Sue x
