Especially For You

Hello there my crafty friends!  For today's card I started  by cutting the Stitched Starburst die in white and backing it with another piece of white card.  Next I cut the Budding Blooms die with a piece of black card on top of a piece of white card.  The top die cut completely and the bottom white card just embossed the design into it so I used that to colour the image.  I chose a palette of soft pink and cornflower blue with forest green for the leaves and vines.  I used a soft white pencil to add highlights to the flowers.  I glued the black die cut over the top, then added it to the centre of the card with mounting foam.  I cut the Especially For You sentiment in white and glued it to the top of the Budding Blooms die.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/2"  x  8" in size.  All for now. You're Egg-stra Special

Hello bloggers!  I started today's card by embossing a piece of white card with the Padded Quilt embossing folder.  I cut it on the diagonal and added a piece of pale pink card to the bottom.  I cut a thin strip of white card and glued it across the join area.  I cut the outer die from the Stained Glass Tulip Egg out of pale pink and attached it to the top of the card with mounting foam.  Next I cut the Tulip egg out of white card and added it to a white backing base piece.  Next I cut the egg die several more times out of custard, lilac, arctic blue, soft pink and green card and used the pieces to paper piece them back into the egg.  I glittered a piece of white card and cut it and used that as the background within the egg.  For the lower part of the card, I cut the You're Egg-stra Special sentiment in white and glued it to the bottom.  I added a potted flower from the Chunky Blossoms die set and several small Easter eggs from the Easter Essentials die set on the other side as accents.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4"  x  8 3/4"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

Have A Beautiful Day

Hi crafters!  I have a different take on a window card to share with you today.  I started by embossing a piece of white card with the Brick Wall embossing folder.  Next, I cut the Window die twice out of white gloss card.  I glued them together going in opposite directions so there would be the extra little bits on all four corners.  I cut a piece of arctic blue card to use as the background inside the window.  Using the window horizontally rather than vertically, I cut the tree from the Swing Tree set and glued it to the blue background.  Next, I cut the fence die from the Garden Accessories die set several times out of white card and glued it across the card.  I added a bicycle cut out of blue and black card in front of the fence.  I added a cloud to the sky and a red and blue kite.  Using a sentiment from the Wordie sheets, I added it below the window with mounting foam.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4"  x  8 1/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Love

Hello bloggers!  Who doesn't love a shaker card?  I just had to create one with this collection.  I started with a piece of white card and used the outer die from the Love die to cut an aperture into the bottom of the card.  Next I embossed it with the Heart To Heart embossing folder for texture. I cut a piece of clear acetate and glued it to the back of the aperture opening.  Next,  I added mounting foam to the back of it and all the way around the back of the aperture area too.  I cut another piece of white card with a piece of red card on top of it.  That gave me the word Love in red, but with the word embossed on to the piece of white card.  I glued the letters into place on the white card, then lines it up with the opening and sealed all of it but a small section.  I added some Crystal Hexagons in through the opening, then sealed it up completely.  I cut a couple of the Heart Flourishes in white and added them from the Love upwards and a smaller swirl at the end of the word as accents.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/4"  x  8 1/4"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

You Are The Best

Hello bloggers!  For today's card, I selected a piece of black card to use as the background.  I cut two of the scalloped borders in white from the Coronet Lace border die set and glued them to the edges of the background.  Next I cut the Elegant Florals die in white with two pieces of white card.  I used the bottom piece as the one I coloured.  I used pink, orange and yellow for the flowers and green for the leaves. I added some highlights with a white pencil.   Next, I  glued the fully cut die on top so the coloured flowers showed through and added it to the middle of the card with mounting foam.  I cut the You Are The Best sentiment in black and glued it to the top of the focal element.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4"  x  7 1/2"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

Wishing You A Beautiful Day

Hello there my crafty friends!  I started this sweet window card by embossing a piece of white card with the Brick Wall embossing folder. Next I cut the Window die out of Gloss white card and added mounting foam to the back of it.  I began working on the inside view of the window so I cut the Decorative Drapes die set out of striped blue paper from the Dots 'n Stripes paper pad.  I used it as a valance at the top of the window, then added two thin strips as curtains.  I cut the rocking chair, floor lamp, table and vase with flowers all from the Living Room die set.  I cut the table out of silver card and used a silver paint pen on the floor lamp.  I arranged all the elements in the room and glued them into place.  I added the window scene to the top of the card.  I added a strip across the brick wall and used plain white card below it.  I cut the Wishing You A Beautiful Day sentiment out of the same decorative paper, then added it to a white shadow backing piece.  I used mounting foam to raise it and added it below the window scene.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4"  x  9 1/4"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

Thinking Of You

Hi crafters!  Here's a bright and cheerful card to share with you!  I started by embossing a piece of white card with the Padded Quilt embossing folder.  Next I cut the Harper die in white.  I backed the inside part of the die with white card then added a purple backing for the edge.  I added it to the background with mounting foam.  Next I cut the Butterfly Cluster with a piece of black card on top of a piece of white card and ran it through the die cutter.  The top cut the die exactly as it should in black and the bottom whit piece gave me the piece to colour in with the die impression embossed into it.  I coloured it with jewel tone markers, then glued the black die cut on top.  I added it at the bottom of the Harper die with mounting foam.  I used the Thinking Of You sentiment cut in black then added to the centre of the Harper die.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x  8" in size.  All for now, Sue x
