Friends Are The Best Gift

Hello bloggers!  The first of two new sentiments is the Friends Are The Best Gift sentiment.  Shown here, it has been designed in a single line with a separate outer shadow die.  You can use the sentiment by itself in a single line or you can use the shadow backing die as I have done in the sample card shown here.  Each of the words are separate so you can use them in any orientation that you desire.  Don't forget to add your comment on the bottom of this post to make sure you have the maximum amount of entries.  That is day one finished, but I will be right back here at 6am UK time for the start of the second day.  All for now, Sue x

Just Because

Hello crafters!  I started by cutting the outer die from the Diamond Radiance Background in Heather card. I glued it to the middle of a piece of white card.  Next, I cut the Dazzling Diamond set twice out of black card and once out of white card.  Using scissors, I nipped away the outer section of the Dazzling Diamond die cuts.  I cut the centre of that set twice in Heather card and glued them to the middle of the black die cuts.  I added mounting foam to the backs of all three die cuts then attached them to the card, laying down the two black die cuts first then adding the white one in the middle.  I cut the Just Because sentiment out of both heather card and black card.  I shadowed the sentiment then added it to the middle of the card.  I used the fall away pieces from the Dazzling Diamonds die set and glued a black and heather card corners into each of the card's four corners as accents.  The card was completed with white, heather and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4"  x  8 3/4"  in size.

We are starting the May die release blog launch here tomorrow morning, starting at 6am.  I hope you can join me back here then!  All for now, Sue x

Hello

Good Sunday morning all!  I started by cutting the Looped Rectangles in black.  Next I made a multi-layered frame using the Double Stitched Rectangles.  I cut a wider antique gold base and added a thinner silver sparkle frame on top.  I added mounting foam to the frame and attached it to a piece of black card.  I cut the Cora die in both black and antique gold.  I offset the black die cut behind the gold one.  I added a white backing piece behind it.   I cut the outer die from the Cora die out of Silver Sparkle card.  I seated the Cora die on the silver die cut then added it to the centre of the frame.  I stamped the Hello sentiment from the Sending Sunshine stamp set.  I cut it out with the centre die from the Cora die set, then used a gold paint pen around the edges and attached it to the middle of the card.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are ???? in size.

All Geared Up To Celebrate

Hello crafters!  I selected a piece of black gloss card for today's background.  Using the Assorted Tool Borders, I cut the border with the tools linked end to end out of black card nine times.  I glued them along the background from top to bottom all the way across the black gloss card.  Next I used the Double Stitched Rectangles and cut a frame out of black gloss card.  I added mounting foam to the back of it and attached it to a piece of milk card.  I cut the Volkswagon Beetle from the Classic Car die set out of taupe card.  I used a pencil to add in all the detail and a white pencil to add some highlights to the car.  I added it inside the frame with mounting foam.  I cut the All Geared Up To Celebrate sentiment in black and added it to a milk card shadow.  I seated the sentiment below the car.  The card was completed with milk and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2"  x  7 1/2"  in size.

For You

Hello bloggers!  I selected a piece of lilac card to use for the background.  Next I cut the Fantail Rosette out of black gloss card twice.  I crisscrossed the two dies and attached them to the middle of the card.  I cut a Double Stitched Circle frame out of lilac card.  I added mounting foam to the back of it then attached it to a piece of white card covered with a sticky adhesive sheet.  I peeled the backing off, then added the frame to it.  I cut the For You sentiment in both Lilac and black card.  I shadowed the sentiment then added it to the centre of the frame and sprinkled Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz to the sticky sheet.  I added the frame to the middle of the rosettes with mounting foam.  Next I cut two of the Ornate Labels in black gloss card.  I nipped away the edges on them and glued them to the top and bottom edges of the card.  The card was completed with white, lilac and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2"  x  7 3/4"  in size.

I Smile When I Think Of You

Hello there my crafty friends!  I selected a piece of Iris card for the background of today's card.  Using the Coronet Lace Border set, I cut two white borders and two black borders.  I shadowed the white borders with the black borders and then glued them to the top and bottom edges of the card.  Next I cut the Gloria die in white and nipped it in half.  I cut the Cora die with a piece of black card on top of a piece of white card. I used the white copy to colour the flowers in different colours.  I added the black die cut on top of it.  I cut the other die from the set in white and seated the Cora on top of it.  I gued the two pieces of the Gloria die to the top and bottom edges of the Cora die.  I added it to the centre of the card with mounting foam.  I cut the I Smile When I Think Of You sentiment in black and glue it to a white shadow backing piece.  I seated it across the centre of the Cora die with mounting foam.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2"  x  9 1/4"  in size.

Have A Roaring Good Time

Hello crafters!  I used the Diamond Art Embossing folder to emboss a piece of antique gold card.  I extended the design to make a larger background.  Next I cut the Fantail Rosette and cut three of them in white and one in antique gold.  I cut the tail off of all the white die cuts and glued them to the top and bottom of the edges.  I added a thin strip of teal card to cover the cut edges.  I cut the Elegant Fanfare die.  I cut two of them out of teal card and one out of ocean card. I cut all three of them down in size and reassembled them into smaller squares.  I seated them across the card in a diamond orientation.  I added a white backing piece to the gold Rosette die cut and seated it across the three middle dies.  I cut the Have A Roaring Good Time out of both ocean and black card.  I shadow the sentiment then glued it to the centre of the card.  The card was completed with white, gold and teal mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7"  x  8 1/2"  in size.
