They Say It's Your Birthday

Hello bloggers!  Here's one that might work great for those pesky guy cards you need to make!  I started with the Double Stitched Squares and made two wide frames and added mounting foam to stairstep them upwards.  I added a piece of white card to the centre as my base.  Using the Birthday Brewing and Three Cheers die sets, I cut the beer on draught and added it to the centre of the card.  I used a thin black marker to colour in the words and a silver paint pen to add some details.  On the second frame I added a beer bottle and glass of beer.  I used white glue to add "foam" accents.  On the top frame I added the pub sign and sentiment to the top part of the card.  I added the other part to the sentiment and the beer pitcher and mug to the lower part of the card.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 8 1/4"  x  8 1/4" in size.  All for now. Hi crafters!  Need a quick card?  This is a great option!  I started with a piece of Silver Sparkle Alcohol ink card from Ranger.  I used Sunshine Yellow and Red Pepper alcohol ink on it.  Next, I embossed it using the Sublime Swirls embossing folder to add texture.  I added a thin black mat to it and added mounting foam to raise it.  I added it to a larger piece of white card that I added Iced Snow to the edge for a bit of sparkle.  I cut the Birthday Circle in both white and black and shadowed it, then glued it to the centre of the card.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7"  x  7" in size.  All for now Sue x

Have A Magical Day

Hello there my crafty friends!  I started with a piece of coconut white card for this tall card.  I used the decorative die from the Joanie die set to cut into the card in the top and bottom of it.  I backed it with another piece of white card that I added a sticky adhesive sheet.  I peeled the backing off and attached it to the back of the background.  I coated the remaining exposed adhesive areas with Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz.  Next I cut the largest die from the Joanie set out of Ocean card.  I cut the remaining part of the Joanie die in white and backed it in white, then added it to the Ocean backing.  I cut Joanie's Border in white and glued it across the centre of the background, then added the focal element with mounting foam to the centre of the card.    I used the extra flower die from the Magnolia Corner and made several flowers out of white card.  I coated them with glued, then Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz and added them around the focal element.  I used the leaves from the Magnolia Corner as accents.  I cut a double strip of pearls down the centre and glued them to the top and bottom edgers of the card.  I cut the Magical Day saying in both Ocean card and black card, and shadowed it then glued it to the centre of the card.  The card was completed with white and ocean mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are  6 3/4"  x  9 1/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

 Good Sunday morning all!  I started this card by covering a piece of card with a sticky adhesive sheet.  I peeled the backing off and coated it with Sunlight Speckle Gilding Flakes.  I used a piece of Rubit Scrubit pad to refine and remove the excess flakes.  Next I used the Brambled Rose embossing folder to emboss the background.  I used a Black Soot Distress Oxide ink pad over the top of the embossed design to bring out the pattern.  I coated it with clear embossing powder and heated it until it melted, this keeps the black from coming off on your fingers.  Next I cut the backing die from the Eliza die out of a piece of card that I had coated with Silver Chrome Glitter Kiss.  I cut the Eliza again in white and added the decorative version on top of the silver backing.  I cut the centre out of it and added mounting foam then added it to the centre of the card.  I cut a Pierced Flag die out of white and attached it across the centre of the frame.  Using a bit of extra silver card, I cut the Thank You sentiment and the Striped Nasturtium outline dies.  I cut the flower base in white then attached the outline dies over the top and assembled the flower.  I seated the flower on the end of the flag and added a couple of leaves and Fern Fronds as accents.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7"  x  7"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

You Are Simply The Best Ever!

Hi bloggers!  Here is a great card to help use up some of your scrap card!  I started with strips of white , aqua and Ocean card and taped them to a piece of white card on the diagonal, butting them up tightly to each other.  Next I cut a multi layered frame using the Double Stitched Ovals, with a white base and a thinner aqua card frame on top.  I added the frame to a piece of white card that I lightly inked the centre with Spun Sugar Distress ink and attached it to the centre of the background.  I cut the rose from the Elegant Flower Trio out of powder pink and black.  I used the black as a shadow behind the pink and glued it into the centre of the oval frame.  I cut the You Are Simply The Best Ever out of pink and black card and shadowed it as well.  I glued the sentiment to the bottom of the card.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4"  x  8 1/4"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

Friends Are The Flowers

Hello crafters!  Today's card colours are Iris, white and black.  I started by cutting the decorative die from the Priscella die set into a piece of coconut white card twice, slightly overlapping in the centre.  I backed it with Iris card.  Next I cut two more of the Priscella die, once in white and once in black, and I used the outer cutting die to cut them out of the card.  I shadowed the white one with the black one slightly offset behind and mounted it vertically in the middle of the card, covering the overcut area in the background.  Next I made a rectangular frame using Iris card and the Double Stitched Rectangle die set.  I added mounting foam and seating it over my stamped sentiment and added it to the centre of the card.  I cut a strip of double pearls in half and ran them down each of the sides of the background, then created three flowers using the Cosmos Flower die set.  I cut Iris card for the base and added a black outline edge to them.  I attached them in opposite corners and added white leaves from the set as accents.  The card was completed with white, iris and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/2"  x  9 1/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x
