Birthday Wishes

Hello bloggers!  I started this pretty cover plate card by cutting the Wild Rose Cover Plate with a piece of black card on top of a piece of white card.  I used the white card to colour all the leaves.  I then glued the black die cut on top.  I cut the die again using a piece of arctic blue card.  I used the fall away pieces from the flowers so I could paper piece them back into the die cu.  However, before paper piecing any of the pieces, I used a smoothie with Tumbled Glass ink and I inked the inside edge of the flower petals then paper pieced them back into place.  I matted it with white card.  I cut another piece of white card and used a scoring tool to score small lines into it, then I added it to a larger piece of arctic blue card.  I glued a thin black strip between the join area and added the focal element with mounting foam.  I cut the Birthday Wishes sentiment in black and glued it to a white shadow backing piece and added it below the flowers.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/4"  x  8 1/4"  in size.

All for now, Sue x

All Geared Up To Celebrate

Hi bloggers!  I actually selected a piece of decorative paper from my craft stash . I cut a multi-layered frame using the Double stitched Rectangles.   I used Cobalt blue for the wider base and black card for the thinner frame on top.  I added mounting foam to the back of the frame and added it to a piece of white card.  I attached the frame in the upper middle of the card.  I cut two strips of cobalt card.  I cut two of the nut borders from the Assorted Tool Border die set out of both black and white card.  I shadowed it then glued it to the borders.  I adhered the borders to the sides of the cards with mounting foam.  I cut the Ferrari from the Super Car die set out of cobalt blue card.  I used a fine tipped felt pen to add the detail to the car.  I attached it to the inside of the frame with mounting foam.  I cut the All Geared Up To Celebrate sentiment in black and glued it to a white shadow backing die.  I added it below the card with mounting foam.  The card was completed with white, cobalt blue and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/4"  x  7 3/4" in size.

Fabulous Friend

Hello bloggers!  I selected a piece of Brunswick Green card to use for the background.  Using Antique Gold card, I cut the Fanfare Rosette die three times.  I nipped the ends off of two of them and glued them to the edges of the card.  I cut a wide strip of white card and used the centres from the cut pieces and added one to the top and one to the bottom of the strip of card.  I glued the last one across the middle of the card.  Using the Grand Labels,  I cut the larger one out of white card and backed it in white.  I added it across the centre of the card with mounting foam.  I cut the Fabulous Friend sentiment out of antique gold and glued it to the Grand Label.  The card was completed with white, brunswick green and antique gold mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2"  x  8" in size.

Happy Birthday

Hello there my crafty friends!  I started today's card by using the You're A Classic from the Vintage Cars stamp set.  I stamped it randomly all over a piece of white card using a Black Archival ink pad.  Next I used the Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide ink and inked around the edges of the card.  I cut a multi-layered frame using the Double Stitched Rectangles.  I cut a wider white base and added a thinner blue frame on top.  In order to get the colours to match, I used the same ink on the thinner frame.  I cut the vintage car out of card that I inked with the same distress ink colour.  I used a fine tipped felt pen to add in the detail in the car.  .  I added it inside the frame with mounting foam.  I stamped the Happy Birthday from the same stamp set and inked the edges of it with the blue ink.  I added it with mounting foam inside the frame.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/4"  x  8 3/4"  in size.

Congratulations

Hello crafters!  I selected a piece of Sherbet card to use for the background.  Using the Swirl stamp from the Sending Sunshine stamp set, I inked it with a clear Perfect Medium pad and randomly stamped it all the way around the edges of the card.  Next I cut the Wild Rose Cover Plate with a piece of black card on top of a piece of white card.  I coloured the image on the white piece of card using alcohol ink markers.  I glued the black die cut on top of it.  I die cut the die again out of a piece of white card covered with a sticky adhesive sheet and coated with Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz.  I used the background fall away pieces and paper pieced them into the die for a sparkly background.  I cut the Congratulations out of the Wordie Sheets and added it with mounting foam to the middle of the card.  I matted it with a piece of white card and added it to the background.  The card was completed with white mats and layer.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/4"  x  8 1/2" in size.

I'm Here For You

Good Sunday morning all!  I cut the Cora die out of aqua card with a piece of white card underneath it as I cut. I used the white piece to colour the small flowers in teal.  I glued the aqua die cut on top of it, then cut the outer die in black and glued the Cora die on top.  I cut the Alice die in white, then nipped it in half and glued the two pieces to the top and bottom of the Cora die.  I cut two strips of aqua card and then cut the Coronet Lace Border in black four times.  I glued two to each strip facing each other then added the border strips to the sides of the card.  I stamped the I'm Her For You sentiment from the Sending Sunshine stamp set and cut it out with the smallest die in the Cora die set. I inked it lightly with Tumbled Glass Distress ink .  I added it with mounting foam to the centre of the die.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/4"  x  8 3/4" in size.
