Good morning craft friends! Almost an all white card. I just felt it needed a pop of colour to it, not sure why I picked blue, but blue it was! My picture isn't the best today and I apologise for that and white is notoriously difficult to get a good shot of anyways. I started with a background that I embossed with the embossibility folder, then I used my Persian border and embossed it into the side of the piece. You can see this a bit clearer in the close up. I then cut a Persian border and added it to the edge with a strip of white glitter card to set it off. I just thought it would make for a different looking background to this card. I stamped my sentiment on white card, centred it and then cut it out using the Samantha Walker Antique frame. I removed the outside frame from the die and added some very small pieces of mounting foam to the back and mounted it in the corner. I inked the sentiment while still in the die using chipped sapphire distress ink, leaving the centre section with a bit of white showing through. I mounted this piece a bit higher in the centre of my frame. I pierced all the way around the edge and added a small mat of the white glitter card for a bit of extra bling. I needed it as no ribbon today! LOL All for now, Sue x

ReplyDeleteGood evening Sue,
ReplyDeleteIsn't this sentiment so true. Everything in life that brings us joy is always better and bigger if we can share it with someone else and when we are sad, there is nothing better than a shoulder to cry on or an ear to listen. This sentiment may be short but it is packed with alot of meaning.
Well, another triumph here today Sue. I think the reason I like this one so much is the sublety of the bling. Not in your face and it doesn't overshadow the beautiful embossing. A real winner for me.
Hope you are having a wonderful time with mum in the US of A.
Take care Linda x
The Queen of Cards has cast herspell again. This card is simply the best. This layout can be used for any occasion just by changing the sentiment.
