Believe In The Magic Of Christmas

Hi bloggers!  I started today's card by coating a piece of card with Moonlit Silver Luna Paste and allowing it to dry thoroughly.  Next I embossed it with the Diamond Poinsettia embossing folder.  For the focal element, I cut the Bell Adjustable Frames four times using the largest size using Antique Gold card.  I backed them in black and assembled them into a square frame.  I added mounting foam to the back and attached them to the embossed background.  I cut the Believe in the magic of Christmas sentiment in both antique gold and black card.  I shadowed the sentiment then glued it to the middle of the frame.  I cut the Classic Poinsettia out of vellum and used some luna paste on the petals then assembled them.  I added them in opposite corners and used the Decorative Holly Accents to add white leaves.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 8 1/4"  x  8 1/4" in size.  All for now. Sue x

  2. Ohhhhh controversial Sue lol. Morning afternoon evening to all. Black on a Christmas card? Oooh yes especially when you incorporate antique gold. I really wish I'd treated myself to the bells, the poinsettia and snowflake adjustable dies are in my collection I invested in them when the orders came through and I knew they would be paid for once the payments came in, and I could kick myself every time I see beautiful cards made with this. They are fabulous for batch making, they are fabulous for two tone and tone on tone wow, so I have a table full of batch made cards in lots and lots of different colours gold/ruby red, gold/forest green gold/cream with your happy Christmas, from our house to yours and to a dear friend mini expression dies and although it was still a lot of work with repetitive cutting it's all down to you how beautiful they look. I really need this bell adjustable die and not just for Christmas. Sorry, yet another long post !! Sending love with apologies and please STAY SAFE KEEP CARING xxx πŸ’–

Good morning Sue and Blog Friends.
Yet another beauty from you Sue. You are certainly a temptress in the card-making world and I hope you always will be. I am so far behind with my family and friends cards that I don't see how I can catch up. I get up in the morning and tell myself to get on with it. Anyway at least I'm up and dressed so that's a start isn't it?
I just love everything you do.
    Have a good day everyone.
    Hugs.

  23. Hi Sue. What a really classy Christmas card today. I love the combination of antique gold and black with white(ish), but for those who are not so keen on black you could always use a different dark colour. As I have made all my Christmas cards for this year I shall have to store this idea away for next year.

  35. Black - not my favorite color to use for cards BUT once in a while black makes the difference between just a card and an elegant card like this one. Love it!
