Peace

Hi bloggers!  Today's offering isn't necessarily a Christmas card or it could be one, depending on what sentiment you put with it!  I cut the Snowflake Lady Silhouette die out of white card and added a vellum backing to her.  Next I ran strips of double sided tape around the edge of the card and coated it with Midnight Marine Holographic Glitterbitz.    I covered a piece of white card with a sticky adhesive sheet and laid it down on the die so it was just covering the snowflakes and cut it.  I peeled the backing paper off and coated the snowflakes with Sea Spray Holographic Glitterbitz then nipped them away from any areas where they were attached.  I glued them over the original die cut to make the snowflakes stand out.  I used the Peace die and cut it several times and stacked it.  I cut it from a piece of card that I had glittered with the same glitter I used on the snowflakes and glued it to the top of the stacked die cuts.  I cut one in black and used it as an offset shadow beneath the stacked dies, then glued it to the top of the card.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/2"  x  8 1/2"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

  3. Such a beautiful design that actually feels extremely peaceful and serene even with the darker sparkling border the sea spray gives the overall impression of sheer peace. Peace is what we all need at some point in our day just to help our mental health at the moment and there is so much to see and look back at here, this is my peaceful place. STAY SAFE AND KEEP CARING xxx 🌻

    1. Oh June I'm so sorry to read your painful message. They play such an important part of our lives, they are unaware of how funny they are how much happiness and love they bring and being a dog lover Dudley would have been your world. We do everything in our power to show them love and caring, although you would have been knocked sick and totally heartbroken Dudley joined my boy and many fur babies over the rainbow in complete peace and tried to save your feelings. We sat up all night with our poorly boy in 2015 and I cuddled him while the vet was here, the most hurt I've ever felt. Nite nite Dudley run free xx

    Hello Sue.
Once again y Cursor went missing at the end of my comment and I had to reboot.
I was taken to Wednesdays post's and there was a trespasser's long message there. I clicked on 'newer post' and the same message was on there for Thursday and Friday.

I do love today's card Sue. I love the effect of Pixie Powders and rarely use them. I've been told to rest after Wednesdays fall so may well sit and play with my PP's
    Love to all
    Marie P.

    KEEP SAFE.

  19. Hi Sue. I would have to agree that even though this card has snowflakes and glitter on it, it doesn't necessarily have to be just for Christmas. Love the glitterbitz on the snowflakes.

  39. Wow Sue,
This is a lovely card. Using Vellum as the backing is a trick I missed when I did my Golden Girl.
And the Marine glitterbitz makes such a striking contrast.
    Beautiful.
