Happy Birthday

Hello there my crafty friends!  I started by making a background using the Opal Polishes.  I swiped Blue Wisteria Opal Polish across a piece of black card and allowed it to dry.  I used the Cecilia die in the centre and cut into the card.  I cut another Cecilia die out of black card and used it as a black shadow underneath the card.  I glued a white backing piece behind it.  mpeed the Carousel horse in black and cut it out with the matching die.  I used Distress Markers to colour it, the added it with foam to the inside of the Cecilia die area.  I cut the letters to spell out Happy Birthday from the Carousel Alphabet set using Black gloss card.  I glued them above and below the carousel horse.  I completed the card with white and black mats and layers. The finished dimensions are
7 1/4"  x  8" in size. All for now, Sue x

    Good morning Sue and all.
I'm late this morning as I took a fall on Wednesday evening that must have addled my brain and it's taken me the last hour to find the blog. When I saw Steph's comment I thought " Are you kidding, it wasn't there for me at 7am" lol.
Anyway Sue, I love this card and somewhere I have this die and MUST find it (or buy another one) I have a great Grand-Daughters first Birthday coming up in 2 weeks and it would be perfect.
Thank you Sue and all blog friends
    Marie P.

    Keep Safe.

  17. Morning Sue,
I love the carousel horse die. I made it for my 2year old great niece 's 2nd birthday at the beginning of this month and she loved it apparently; played "horsies" all morning, on the arm of the settee, driving her mum crazy!
Like the colouring too. Gorgeous card.
    Hugs xxx Pauline

  28. Those alphabet dies are still on my wish list. While I have a number of alphabet sets these are so unique and work perfectly with the Carousel Horse.
Have a great weekend everyone. I hope to finish my Thanksgiving cards (I thought this year would be a good time for them).
