For You

Hello there my crafty friends!  I pulled out the new Delilah Background die to start this card.  I cut it out of Wisteria card and black card.  I used the black card as the shadow behind the wisteria die cut, then added a wide strip of Heather cardstock to back the centre section.  I added a full backing of white card behind it all.  Using the Double Stitched Rectangles, I added a multi-layered frame consisting of a wider white base frame and a thinner Heather card top frame.  I added mounting foam to it and attached it over the background.  Next I cut one of the Decorative Squares in white, added mounting foam to it and set it in a diamomd orientation in the centre.  I used vellum to cut the decorative flag die and added it across the centre.  I used the For You Shadowed sentiment cut out of Heather card with a black shadow and glued it to the vellum.  I used the Cosmos Flower dies cut out of white card with sticky adhesive sheet added to it.  I used Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz on the flower before assembling it and adding it to the left side of the die.  I used a few leaves cut from the Magnolia Corner as accents.  The card was completed with white, wisteria and heather mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4"  x  7 3/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  20. Hi Sue. Lovely background on the card today, but not too sure about the use of the decorative square in the middle as it seems to be fighting with the patterns of the background.

A stunning card design. Lots going on in its construction, but you did it so well. All the elements you used came together so nicely to make a lovely card. This card design is one of your designs that one would be amazed at it and ask themselves: "how did she do that?" Sue, you are an awesome designer.

  36. Hi Sue
Love everything about this card. The colour, the combination of your amazing dies and the subtle use of vellum. I have a rather large stash of vellum in my possession and it is gathering dust. Note to self - dig it out and put it to good use. It always looks so delicate and beautiful x

  40. There’s a town in California called Solvang and it’s heavily visited by tourists who are drawn to Dutch buildings, food and shopping. The die cuts remind me of the beautiful Dutch lace found there. Beautiful!
