Merry & Bright

Hi there my crafty friends!  Today's card is actually a leftover piece from something else I made, but waste not, want not, right?  I started with a piece of coconut white card and repeatedly cut the Evergreen branch from it.  I decided it would look really nice with a piece of pixie powdered background behind it.  i used Pale Olive, Emerald Green and Golden Mint Pixie powders and spritzed them with water.  I allowed them to dry well, then attached it behind my cut out background.  I cut the Merry & Bright out of Ruby Red card and added them on to a white shadow backing.  I added foam to the words and mounted them in the centre of the card.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7" x  7" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  5. Hiya Sue. Why do world's keep failing me? Is it the time and my brain isn't quite awake or could it be that you never fail to show us something different and out of the box, just that hint of beautiful colour of Pixies smiling through the background which some of us would put into our paper recycling bin but we've been 'bought up by the best' so like yourself Sue we have all collected frames, fall aways for shakers and cut into cardstock by the bag full lol, its just that your recycling looks so much more professional hence the outcome is a card anyone would be proud to give or receive. Have a great day whatever your doing xxx

    Hello Sue.
My plans for today have just been put on one side because of your posting.I was planning to empty at leas one of my 'waste' bins into a re-cycle bag without looking at the contents. Now I feel that I should make at least one or two (Or Ten) cards using ONLY cardstock from the bin
I love the card you have shown us today, you do set us a good example.
    Have a great day.
