Many Thanks

Hello crafters!  I just loved this card made with the Millie die, hope you do too!  I started with a piece of coconut white card and embossed it with the Sublime Swirls embossing folder.  Next I used the Double Stitched Square die set to add a multi-layered white frame around it.  I cut the Millie die out of Soft Salmon card and black card.  I used the black as a shadow behind it, then added a Coral card backing to it.  I cut a thin frame out of white using the decorative edge piece then added a thin solid black backing to it and glued it to the edge of the Millie die cut.  Next I cut the centre of the die out of soft salmon card and black card.  Instead of shadowing it, I offset it so the pattern crisscrossed, then added a coral card backing to it.  I used the Double Stitched Circle with the circle from the Millie centre to make a thin frame around it in white.  I added it to the die with foam.  I used the Many Thanks shadowed sentiment cut in black with a white backing as the sentiment.  The card was embellished with Wildflower Triple Layering dies cut out of Soft Salmon for the top layer, coral for the middle layer and white backings.  The centre pieces were all cut from black card with pearls added.  I added these in opposite corners with white leaves as accents.  The card was completed with white, soft salmon and coral mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 8" x  8" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  17. Hi Sue
    Oh what a beauty.
I really love Millie. She is so pretty. Those colours are gorgeous. Love the way you have used the black card to shadow. It really makes it pop. I am hoping to get flowers on Mother’s Day - the Wildflower Triple Layered flowers to be precise - I have dropped enough hints! I am loving the layering dies Sue and living in hope that there will be more in future launches.
I haven’t got any of the new(ish) felt mark card yet but some of the colours I have seen are beautiful (soft salmon and coral included), so I may just have to give in to temptation. I am on a craft shopping ban at the moment. Lack of funds play a big part in that decision but also not making any cards at the moment so really can’t justify adding to my already bulging stash! (I will make an exception if I receive anything remotely crafty as a gift) lol x
    Happy Monday everyone

  46. Hi Sue. Sorry I have not commented for a bit but I have been unwell. I think your card today is absolutely gorgeous !!! I really loved this card when I first saw it at your die release. I am so pleased you have shared with us how you have made it. I love the colours but I really love your new Millie die set. I have just finished making two Mothers Day cards with the Millie die. I love the results I have had. I also love your new Triple Wild flower die set. I have got this set to and they are absolutely beautiful whatever colours you use with them. Such a fab new concept Sue. I have never seen dies like these before. You are a true crafty genius !!!! Thank you for sharing this gorgeous card.

I also really love yesterday's card to. The Eliza die and the Claire die are both near the top of my wish list now along with all three of your new flower square dies. It is going to be a difficult decision as to which ones to buy next pay day !!! I love the black, white and gold colour combo of your card Sue. The flowers as usual are beautiful to. Thanks for sharing this beautiful card Sue.
Lots of love from Tres X X X

  49. Hi Sue. Can you please tell me how you got the solid black background for this card? I have the die set, but there's no die in the set that cuts the solid background for the largest die cut, just the one with little square cut outs. I'd love to achieve what you have done with this card, but cannot figure out how to do it. Many thanks, Amanda
