Hi there my crafty friends! I pulled out my Rows Of Bows Pinpoint embossing folder to start this card off and embossed a piece of white card. Next I cut two Herringbone Backgrounds and crisscrossed them and glued them together. I used my paper cutter to cut two sections off, then added a very thin sliver of white card over the top to hide the cut edge on the end. I cut a piece of Old Rose card to go behind it and glued it to my embossed background as a border. I used the Double Stitched Circles to cut two thin frames out of Old Rose card and I attached the to the edges of a wider frame cut from Powder pink card. I added it to the centre of the card. I made three Triple Layer Wildflowers, changing the order of the card colours on each. I glued one to the frame and two of them to the border and added leaves as accents. I used the All The Best Shadowed sentiment in old rose on a white shadow and glued it into the centre of the frame. The card was completed with white and old rose mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 7" x 8 1/2" in size. All for now, Sue x
Fabulous card Sue xx Hazel

Hi Sue
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous x
That feltmark card range has the most divine collection of colours in the range and this picture shows the Old Rose and Powder Pink off perfectly. The rows of bows was the first pinpoint embossing folder I bought and I worked it to within an inch of its life - it was used on every card when I first got it. When (or if) I am lucky enough to get the layering dies I am so desperate for on Mother’s Day I feel the need to resurrect my Rows of Bows!
The herringbone Background has shot up my with/want list and is perched right behind all the layering dies. Problem is my Birthday is not until July and that is a long time to wait - especially considering that you will have launched another of your spectacular Christmas Collections of dies. What is a girl to do? Do I sell my body or my soul? Not much money for either I fear!
I can hear the birds singing and there is a hint of pale blue in the sky. Looks like the sun is threatening to make an appearance so have a Happy Friday everyone x

Morning Sue.
ReplyDeleteThank you. this is a very pretty card.
Take care and have fun Kitty.
Super card and very pretty. x
ReplyDeleteHi Sue. It's so nice to see the earlier folders being loved, it's one of the first pin points I treated myself to and it's so adorable especially for a little girl's card or to help bring some extra delicacy to a female's card - love it. It's a gorgeous backdrop to show the new coloured cardstock that I'd love to own. Maybe add a pack or two on my Easter gift list, or maybe a new April release ?!
ReplyDeleteSending hugs from a very miserable Lancashire covered in pea soup !!

Hi Sue,
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely card, and you've reminded me to get the pinstripe ef out again.
And the herringbone goes so well with it. And I do like men that could do with this very nicely, but not in pink.
Hugs, Rose

ReplyDeleteHi Sue, a great design and another possibility for the men in our lives.
ReplyDeleteI know that I have that EF............. but where? My crafting space is all over the house; e.g. wardrobes, the odd kitchen cupboard, understair cupboard and wherever I can find space.
How I envy those of you with proper craft rooms and loft space.
However, the Sun is shining and your card is beautiful;so, what more do I need? Hugs xx Pauline

ReplyDeleteVery pretty I’m not keen on pink but I love these shades
ReplyDeleteA beautiful card.
ReplyDeleteA lovely card, it’s amazing the different effect on the flowers just by reversing the colours. I also like the effect from the herringbone die. Thank you Sue.
ReplyDeleteHi Sue. Love the colours of today's card. I particularly like the extra wide circular frame with the little frames on the inside and the outside (I may have to pinch that idea)
ReplyDeleteLisbeth
Hi Sue, I love the design and colour of this card but I can't help thinking that the central wider frame cut from powder pink could do with having some detail on it, it seems a little 'bare' to me. Overall it is lovely though.
ReplyDeleteFrances
Hi Sue, Gorgeous colours, gorgeous embossing and gorgeous die-cuts, I love this !!
