Many Thanks

Hi bloggers!  I just had to have a play with the new Holographic Sparkle Shakers!  I started by cutting the Herringbone Background out of coconut white card.  I covered another piece of white card with a self adhesive sticky sheet and attached the background to it.  Next I used the Holographic Sparkle Shakers and tapped them all over the
background.  What colour, you ask?  Well, all of them!!  The background is a conglomeration of all of the shaker colours and I just loved the way they all blended together so nicely!  I made a frame using the Double Stitched Rectangles and added it with foam mounting tape.  I cut the Many Thanks shadowed sentiment out of silver mirror card and glued it to a Pierced Flag.  I tucked the end under the frame then added two Wildflowers that I made using the top layer and then added a base of the Silver Rainbow Holographic Glitter.  I added a pearl the centres then seated the flowers on the edge of the frame with some leaves.  I finished off the card with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/2" x  7 3/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  3. Morning Sue. Although today's sample looks pretty, and you know how to capture your work with lovely close up's etc, but nothing will show the true beauty behind the Herringbone die apart from seeing it in the real world and our imagination, I bet when the light hits it the whole room would be highlighted like the effect of a glitterball, I've not got any holographic glitters maybe I should invest but I'm useless at making decisions so a trip to my craft shop needs to go on my list of things to do, and with all the beautiful new cardstock it could turn out to be a long visit lol. Sending hugs xxx

Such a striking card this morning and one of them cards that we know the sparkle from Holographic sparkle will look so much better in the flesh. I love the design of herringbone die and finished beautifully with the wildflowers.

  15. Hi Sue
    Wonderful card x
Oh my - that Herringbone Background is mighty fine. I have had my eye on it for a while and the more I see it the more I know I have got to have it. It really does make a striking backdrop on any card and I would thing a brilliant go to for those men’s cards which we all love to create!! Not to familiar with the Sparkle shakers but I am definitely feeling the urge to get to know them better. The wildflowers are right there at the top of my hit list with the other layering dies which I am hoping to own very soon.
Had a busy day yesterday and the after effects have left me feeling a little under par so not much happening today. Feet up and rubbish tv is in order I feel!
    Happy Thursday everyone

  25. Good Morning Sue. Wow. Talk about bling and glitter. It's brilliant and so very different for you. I am not a herringbone person.... I worked with herringbone fabric for many years so not a favourite...but you have made it look fantastic with the glitter background. Fabulous card Sue. Thankyou. Sending hugs and best wishes to everyone. Kind regards Ann Toppcards Leeds.

    Hi Sue,
That herringbone is fabulous and whilst I understand Ann where she comes from (Herringbone and houndstooth as a fabric are a bugger to work for, especially in black and white), I love it in card. And the holographic background makes the whole thing pop.
    Fabulous!
    Hugs, Rose

  34. Hi Sue, dare I invest in any more glitters? Well, as I don't have any of these holographic ones, the answer must be a resounding, YES.
I agree that your card would make a great one for the guys..... minus the flowers, although we have just returned from a woodland walk and my husband loved the primroses, wood anemones, celendines etc., so maybe the odd flower peeking out would be fine. Lovely card. Hugs xx Pauline

  44. Hi Sue. This is a beautiful card today !!! Your Herringbone background die looks fab !!! It showcases those lovely sparkle shaker glitters so beautifully. I think it is very brave of you to mix so many glitters all together ( I would be to scared) but the results are gorgeous. The frame makes the card look so elegant and the sentiment is lovely. Your new Wild flower dies are one of my favourites at the moment and I think they give this card such a lovely elegant finishing touch. Thanks for sharing your beautiful card Sue. Lots of love from Tres X X X
