For Someone Special

Hello bloggers!  Today's card offering is a very simple, yet elegant card I think.  I started by embossing a piece of coconut white card with the Rows Of Bows Pinpoint embossing folder.  I added a wide strip of coconut white to the bottom of it.  I cut the Roxy die in white and backed it with Lilac card.  I nipped away the large swirly side of the die and glued it over the join line in the background.  I used the Layered Carnations to make three dimensional flowers.  Before assembling, I inked the edges with Wilted Violet Distress Oxide ink and dried them with a heat tool.  I used spray glue on them, then dusted Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz over them and assembled them.  I grouped them together in a cluster to the left of the Roxy die and added white leaves as accents.  I cut the For Someone Special sentiment twice out of Lilac card and glued them together then glued it to the upper left corner of the card.  The card was completed with white and lilac mats and layers.   The finished dimensions are 7 1/4" x  8 1/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  2. Hi Sue. I read that you appeared on another shopping channel a day recently albeit not for long but I hope what time you had proves fruitful and you had an enjoyable time.
It maybe one of the older folders but still one I love to start a feminine card with wether it be adult or little girl it's a beautiful folder. I will admit that when Roxy was launched I wasn't that keen but as usual the more samples and cards I saw both here and on Facebook it grew on me, she has proved that the most prettiest of projects can be made and today's sample is absolutely gorgeous, elegant soft and a design that can be used for any really special occasion. Who wouldn't feel special if they received this special card design.
Whatever your plans for the day - enjoy xxx

  21. Hi Sue
    What a beautiful card.
Rows of bows is the first pinpoint embossing folder I ever bought and I used it so much. This has just reminded me of how much I love it. Must ‘dig it out’ and put it to work. I have not played with it for ages.
Roxy really is a beauty. As yet she has not come to live in my house but I am hoping that she may do very soon!
This is such a pretty feminine card x
    Happy Wednesday everyone

  22. Good Morning Sue. Absolutely amazing..... I love it. But where have I been .... as I don't remember seeing this embossing folder before. It might have to go on my list. Although my favourite folder is the Jacobean it's my go to folder for anything. I even used it as a Christmas background on some of my cards. Such a beautiful sample. Thankyou Sue. Sending best wishes to everyone. Kind regards Ann Toppcards Leeds

Good morning Sue and all the faithful Wilsonettes
A lovely card Sue and I really like your choice of colours. I must admit that I have a problem with recognising many of the embossing folders as so many of them are not named on the actual folder. You use them so effectively as is shown on this beautiful card.
    Have a great day.

  40. Hello Sue. A simple but really effective card today and although I don't have any of these dies or the embossing folding I am sure I would be able to use some of your other products to be able to create something similar thanks to your inspiration.
