For You

Hi bloggers!  I have a card here that has been made using just a single die and one sentiment stamp!  I started by cutting the Shannon die four times out of black card and twice out of Sky Blue card.  I cut a square of sky blue card and matted it with a thin black mat.  On it I glued two of the black Shannon die cuts just crisscrossed.  I stamped the sentient in the centre open area.  I cut a larger piece of coconut white card and matted it with a thin black mat.  I used foam to attach the blue square in a diamond orientation.  I cut the two Sky Blue  card die cuts down the centre, I nipped away the top piece of the die and just glued the four pieces diagonally over the corners.  I cut one more slightly larger piece of coconut white and matted it with a black mat.  I used the remaining black die cuts and nipped the centres out and glued them to the corners, trimming the excess with my scissors.  White on white mats and layers were used to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are * 1/4" x  8 1/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  2. Hello Sue, your ability to take 1 die and some different colour card and turn it into something so beautiful, will never cease to amaze me. I have said before and say it again, I would love 5 minutes in the creative corner of your mind. Have a good day all. Bx

  3. Hello Sue. Morning, afternoon, evening depending where you are at the moment.
Now then, I love the choice of colours you've used they all look lovely together, the design of the dies intrigue me as to what you saw or thought that made you sit and sketch what you saw in your minds eye, it's a brilliant design for a man's card, extremely clever and I like it very much what's not to like, but it's not the type of card that would sell at market nor is it a design I could get my regular customer's to enjoy which is a pitty because I'd hope it would grow on them. I've seen some really clever cards made with the Celtic designs but my lack of imagination means I couldn't do them justice.
However you are spending your day I hope it's an enjoyable one xxx

  11. Hello Sue,

Clever way of using the Shannon die. I have really enjoyed using all of the dies from the Celtic Collection. Can't wait to use some for St Patrick's Day.

Just watched you on HSN. You were barely on before you were off again. What can we do to get you on for an hour show? The HSN crafters have to get to know you so they love you as much as we do and you have the best dies of all the presenters on there.

    Have a great day.

When I see your cards like this I am always amazed at the clever designs and what results you can create from the dies. More you look close you spot the different areas where you have snipped into the Shannon Die.

  34. I always think it is so clever Sue when you cut into dies & snip into them to create a completely different look. Unfortunately my mind doesn’t work like that! Lovely colour & ideal for a mans card. Thank you!

  37. Hi Sue, you are so clever at cutting your dies apart and coming up with a spectacular idea. My 'sippets' end up looking more like confetti, than an adornment for my cards.
Packing up ready to go back to S.A. so maybe out of touch for a ouble of days. Take care. Hugs Pauline xx

  40. Hi Sue, this is such a clever card that I remember from the launch so it is good to learn just how you created it (instead of just guessing) and the more you look into it the more you can see where you were busy snipping. I really must try and see my dies from all angles but rely on you to give me the inspiration that I so sadly lack.
