Warmest Wishes

Hello there my crafty friends!  More Christmas cards, but I do think that this one could be used for other purposes with just a simple change of sentiments, don't you?  I started with milk card and embossed it with the Falling Snow embossing folder.  I cut the Snowball Frame and added it over the embossed piece with mounting foam.  I cut a slightly larger piece of milk card and added double sided tape around the edge.  I glittered it with Iced Snow then added the frame to the centre.  I cut the Bold Holly Leaves and glued them into the lower corner.  From the Christmas Robin die set, I cut two robins out of tan card and used some Vintage Photo ink around the edge and Festive Berries to add a red breast to them.  I cut the pine sprig out of tan card and added a bit of Forest Moss ink to the edges.  I cut several pine cones out of tan card.  I glued all the pieces into the arrangement on top of the holly sprigs.  I cut the Warmest Wishes sentiment in red and added to the upper corner of the frame.  The card was completed with milk mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/4" x  7 3/4" in size. All for now, Sue x

  5. Hello Sue,

The nature lover in me just adores this card. The lovely Snowball frame draws your eye right to the focal element. The robins are so sweet, their red breast enhanced by the red sentiment and the greenery is the perfect backdrop for them. The iced snow mat that you have added adds a delicacy to the scene. A pure delight.

    Have a wonderful day.

  9. Morning. I too fell in love with these dies and this inspirational sample, so much so this beautiful all year round bird is sitting on my craft table waiting to be made into something nice, I say "nice" as I could never reach your standards or those on Facebook but I try to do nice, it's taken a while to recover from a very busy market Sunday but now you've got my craft buds tingling so I need to give myself a kick in the rear end and free your beautiful die from its packaging (well, get my 'keeper to free it for me ) I do find the hard plastic painful and difficult to get into lol.
Thanks for getting me going again this festive delight is just what was needed ☺ xxx

  38. Adorable and nothing says Christmas quite like a Robin. Yes it could be used for other cards too and I always find birds make excellent cards for men, who I am told are difficult to cater for.

  46. A lovely winter card with the robins and evergreens. You did great making the robin's breast as a deboss on the die. I enjoy watching and feeding the birds. This card design lends itself to male or female and without the snow, an all year design.
