Hi bloggers! One from the October release for you today! I started with a piece of Cobalt Blue card. I laid the Script mask over it and used Salty Ocean distress Oxide and Wilted Violet Oxide through the mask for a sort of two tone to the writing. I removed the mask and heat set the ink. Next I cut the Rose Flower Square out of gold mirror card and attached it to a backing with a piece of sticky adhesive sheet on it. I had a small piece of pixie powdered card left over that was made with Midnight Blue and Purple Violet PP so I cut the Rose again and paper pieced it back into the gold mirror card die cut. I mounted it on a slightly larger square cut from the Double Stitched Squares in white. I added it to the centre of the card and cut the Best Wishes sentiment in gold and mounted it below. White, gold and Cobalt Blue mats and layers were used to complete the card. The finished dimensions are 6 1/2" x 7 3/4" in size. All for now, Sue x

ReplyDeleteMorning Sue, an absolutely gorgeous card, the blue and gold combo is so striking. Have a good day everyone. Bx
ReplyDeleteHello Sue,
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous card. There is such a regal feel to it and is elegantly done in blue and gold. I like how you have used the script mask to create your background. It adds just enough without distracting from the die cuts.
Have a wonderful day.
Beverly

Hello Sue, an eye catching card with such an opulent look to it. Thanks for sharing xx
ReplyDeleteGood morning Sue,
ReplyDeleteA stunning and very elegant design with a Rennie Mackintosh look to it, beautiful! X
Ohhh Sue. Elegance at its most highest. The deep gorgeous background the expensive looking gold rose and sentiment, I can't begin to imagin what a luxurious card like this would sell for in our large department shops but I bet you'd have to think at least £10.00 ?! But who needs overpriced card boutiques when you give us inspiration this beautiful. I was so lucky and honoured to receive this die at launch, but I'll put my hands up right now and say I couldn't even think of doing it justice like this but with hopefully more inspiration and video tutorials I'll be near somewhere close. Thank you Sue for an amazingly stunning gorgeous start to my day. Sending grateful hugs your way xxx

Good Morning Sue. Absolutely stunning Sue. It truly is a work of art. I love it. I am going to save it to my favourites ...... because..... Christmas is almost here.....and in our house that means craft goodies for me. So I will either have the die bought for me...... or I can go choose what I want with my Christmas money...... and after seeing this....it's on the list. Thankyou Sue. Sending best wishes to everyone. Kind regards Ann Toppcards Leeds

Hi Sue. It seems like only a couple of weeks ago that these dies were released, I can't believe it was back in October! At this rate, Christmas will be upon us before we even know it! Love this card as it is so elegant. Might have to pinch this idea.

This is gorgeous But I must admit that on first glance I thought you had literally added the “rose” onto the background piece So it’s definitely one I need to see in the flesh

Hi Sue, I love this beautiful CAS but oh so elegant card. I agree with the others that have said the deep blue and gold combination looks quite regal. I admit that I have not yet cut my square flowers from mirror card but it is something that I will definitely try.
