For You

Hi crafters!  I have a lovely, soft, almost romantic card to share with you today.  I started by embossing a piece of Powder Pink card with the Brambled Rose embossing folder for texture.  I cut two of the Hexagonal Borders in Taupe card  and cut both of them down the centre and glued them back together, overlapping the centres to create a thinner border.  I cut a strip of pink card and added it down the back of the centre of the border and added mounting foam to raise it before adding them to the sides of the card.  I cut the Abigail die  in white and seated it in a diamond orientation between the borders.  Next I stamped the matching Stamp To Die for called Abigail's Peony Spray and cut it out with the Abigail outline die.  I used Distress Markers to colour it (antique linen, forest moss, spun sugar and worn lipstick).  I cut the For You die in Taupe and in black, shadowed it and glued it into the open area in the Stamped die cut.  I used white, taupe and powder pink mats and layers to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 7" x  9" in size.  All for now Sue x

  2. Hello Sue,

Such a pretty and romantic feeling card today. The colors are so gentle and soft. It's amazing how a stamped image can change the whole feel of a card. The Stamps To Die For to match your latest release are incredibly gorgeous, there is so much detail in each one.
I have used the Hexagonal Border die many times, I absolutely love it, but never once did I think about making it smaller as you have done. I'm going to have to try that.

    Have a wonderful day.

  4. This is adorable. So soft, so delicate, so pretty, so you. It's incredible how you've given the impression of Hessian on the background of the stamp, and the misty but bold effect of the roses seem to take you into the design, almost holds a hidden secret or story from the past. I have no more to say other than this is true Sue Wilson inspiration at its best, thank you xxx

  20. I love how soft the colors are.

Made a little roof rack for my Platinum to hold the cutting plates out of the way. Just a couple inches of that foam insulation for water pipes, cut in half and taped on either side of the handle, like antlers. Now after I remove the die cut from between the plates, I just stack the plates on top of the machine. They don’t slide down the rounded top because those fat U’s hold them up like hands holding a tray. Very handy.

    Best,
    Donita
