Warm Winter Wishes

Hello crafters!  I wanted to share another of my favourites from the festive release.  I started with a piece of coconut white card and cut a circle and attached it as the moon.  Next I used Distress Oxides to create the sky.  I started with Wilted Violet just around the moon, then blended in Faded Jeans and Stormy Sky and worked sown towards the bottom with Mermaid Lagoon.  I removed the circle, leaving the white moon and heat set it to dry the ink.  Next I cut the Believe In The Magic Frame out of black card twice.  I nipped away the Santa and reindeer and glued them into the sky.  I cut away the cabin and the trees and then cut more trees from the second frame and added them next to them in the lower part of the card.  I added them onto a black strip at the bottom of the card, leaving a section for my sentiment.  I cut the Warm Winter Wishes  from the Snowball Frame set in white and nipped them apart and mounted them diagonally across the bottom.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7" x  9 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  2. Hi Sue. A fabulous silhouette memory. Takes me back to the nights I sat at my bedroom window just waiting to see this for real. It was the motherly tones of "get into bed" that broke my gaze ! It's a beautiful piece of inspiration Sue. Thanks to you I had a fantastic market yesterday so I can now collect the two remaining dies on hold at my little craft shop. Have a lovely day xxx

  5. Hello Sue and all
Like Steph, a favourite Christmas image. The distress oxides that you have chosen are lovely, a perfect sky with the sparkly full moon. I didn’t purchase this frame as I have the Christmas cottage scenes, santa’s Sleigh and the winter trees so I think I have my project for tomorrow firmly in mind, thank you once again.

  9. Hello Sue,

A magical, mystical scene that is a delight for all of us no matter the age. If you are young, it makes you "believe". If you are older, it makes you remember those younger days when life and one's imagination let you believe and wonder at all its delights.

    Have a wonderful day.

  30. Thank you, Sue, for giving us the recipe for your night sky with the big moon, including which colors you used. B

It’s amazing that your frame can be adapted in so many directions and still hang together. I lugged s big zippered binder of Sue Wilson dies to the latest gathering of my rubber stamping group, but they only wanted to cut this one, and they took turns.

    Bestvto all.
