Thank You

Hello crafters!  Today's offering is a Noble card, so it's big one!  I started with the background,by embossing a piece of coconut white card with the Aztec Flower embossing folder.  I added small white pearls at the junctions around the focal element.  Next I cut the Classic Adorned Octagon for the outer section in Cobalt blue.  I switched and used the decorative dies from the Lavish Accented Octagon.  I used the Double Stitched Noble Octagons to add frames around both sections, with the inner section raised with mounting foam.  I seated it over the smaller white decorative section which was also cut from the Lavish Accented Octagon set.  I cut a centre blue octagon and added the Thank You mini expression to it cut in white.  The Passion Flower die set was used to create a couple of flowers to accent opposite corners.  I seated the larger flower on a satin bow and added leaf accents to both.  White on white mats were used to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 8 1/4" x
8 1/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  3. Hello Sue,

What a "lavishly adorned" card you have for us today. It is regally elegant with the beautiful cobalt color and the swirls and curls of the die. I like the use of the stitched frames separating and enhancing the decorative frames. It gives both definition and dimension. The lovely embossing folder ties it all together perfectly. Simply stunning.

    Have a wonderful day.

  7. Good Morning Sue

Gorgeous sumptuous card. I love the Royal Blue and White and the dies ad embossing folder are stunning.

After near non-stop thunderstorms and torrential rain here in Kent yesterday, we have woken to a misty, still, warm morning even the birds are breathing a sigh of relief and singing sweetly again. Long may it last. I can't craft when the weather is out of kilter LOL!

  12. Morning Sue. Firstly I'm loving the the Aztec flower folder it makes a fantastic background to show your LAO frames, they are appropriately named that's for sure. I'm waiting for a call from my little craft shop owner to tell me she's had her delivery from CE Towers including my 3D folders but I also need this, it really is an eye catcher, and hopefully it will help get my craft juices flowing again - it's been far too long since I've made anything ! I appreciate your daily inspiration and always a great start to my day. Who wouldn't love to receive such a beauty like this. A cooler more comfortable day ahead so maybe now my little room doesn't feel like a sauna it may intice me in. Have a lovely day Sue xxx

  45. The cobalt in the octagons really sings to me. I checked to see if you had used cobalt pearls.

I had another idea for chocolate sauce on the ice cream sundae if you can't get hold of brown PVC glue. Melted crayon. Maybe draw and then color the shape you want, then heat with a heat gun while dripping on more crayon.

    Best to all,
    Donita

  53. Hi Sue, a really lovely card and the blue and white look so crisp and fresh. I don't have any octagons, just hexagons, but I'm sure I can use your inspiration to create my version. Most of the keepsake cards that I make to order are 8" x 8", I love square cards as they give you so much scope and your Noble frames have helped me no end.

Ann - glad you had such a good holiday but there never is anything quite as good as your own bed is there.
Donita - great idea but watch your fingers!
