Textured Frame Card

Hi bloggers!  The Isobel die set is a completely different type of die.  IT is more of an overlay and was designed to add beautiful texture and dimension by stacking.  Today's video shows off the die in a beautiful way, just the vision that I had for this design.

The finished dimensions are 7 3/4" x  7 3/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  10. Good morning Sue,
You're a mind reader!!! I had put the Isobel die on to my wishlist only yesterday, having seen Lisa demo it on Hochanda and the Squared Squares are already on it-lucky for me that my birthday is only 8 weeks away!!! The pierced detail gives a beautiful finish to the Isobel and your card is stunning. Thank you for the tutorial.x

  13. Good Morning Sue.Gorgeous card Sue..... and my favourite colours too. I would be over the moon to recieve this card. You make everything look so very easy..... even down to the tiny flowers that I sometimes struggle with due to osteoarthritis in my fingers...... but I don't let that get me down...... I take my time and I do get there.... What is the saying..... patience is a virtue.....well I have plenty of patience..... unless I am waiting for the postman to come with more of your lovely dies lol. Sending best wishes to everyone. Hi Sue,
It's a lovely die and I'll watch your video a bit later on, I'm not sure what you mean when you say designed as an overlay, but I am really chuffed how you used the squared squares with it. Which is another one I'm dying to try out just as soon as....

  32. You gave us a glimpse into some of your creative process when you said you designed Isobel as an overlay and I'm guessing diagonal counterpoint to the squared squares. How regimented are the squared squares, and how merrily Isobel swirls and flirts among them!

Even without the regiment behind her, Isobel isn't like all the other girls. She's unique in a lovely way, gracing everything she touches.

Thank you also for throwing in the bonus idea of putting a frame behind the outer squares to give them color. I also like the texture of the white squares backed in white. You sure do know what you're doing.

Thanks to Lisa, I'll soon be building birdhouses and making trees. She takes such delight in what your dies do, always stepping back to admire the result.

    Best to all,
    Donita

  42. Hi Sue, such a pretty card today, love the colours. I loved both of these dies when I saw them at the launch but with all the other dies on offer they did not find themselves near the top of my shopping list. The problem is that it looks as though you are going to launch you Christmas dies soon and I will definitely want to get some (or most) of them!

  54. Hi Sue,
The Isobel die is one of my favorite from your last released. Love the design and the versatility of it so any card made using Isobel is a winner for me. It can be used easily in different ways (including to create a shaker card) and for different occasions. Here it works beautifully with the Noble Collection Squared Squares dies. Thanks for sharing this card with us today.
Hugs from Toronto to you all and special hugs to all missing friends.
