Hello there my crafty friends! Here is today's Wednesday card giveaway f or you. I started with a piece of Iris card and cut an aperture in the centre with the Double Stitched Hexagon dies. I made two extended borders using one of the dies from the Ecliptic Edger die set and glued them to the top and bottom edges of the card. Next I cut three of the Jennifer die in white and backed them in black. I cut all of them in half lengthwise and used them to create a decorative edge around the inside lip of the aperture. I added mounting foam to the back of it to raise this piece. I used the Classic Adorned Hexagons to cut a decorative design into another piece of Iris card and backed it in white. I seated the aperture over it so it showed through. Next I cut the Lavish Accented Hexagon centre in black, backed it in white, then cut it into a frame. I stamped my sentiment and used the smaller piece to cut a decorative shape around it then I seated the frame over it. I added a backing of iris card then attached it to the centre of the card. Using the Pinwheel flowers, I made three scrunched flowers with Shaded Lilac inked centre and added them around the card with white leaves and a satin bow. White on white layers were added to complete the card. The finished dimensions are 8 1/4" x 8 1/4" in size. If you would like to be entered into the drawing to win this one, just leave a comment on the post. I will announce the winner on Saturday's blog post. All for now, Sue x

Hello Sue a really lovely and ornate card for the Wednesday giveaway. Love the colours and those flowers are so pretty. I bet everyone is crossing their fingers to win it. Have a good day everyone. Bx
ReplyDeleteGood morning Sue. This is what I call a beautiful Sue Wilson sample, you to a tee. Your designs stand out from all others and whoever is honoured to be picked out to own this gorgeous work of art will be the luckiest person ever.
ReplyDeleteSending love and hugs. Stay warm and enjoy your day xxx
The sentiment suggests my reaction to this card: Truly fabulous! I may have lost track of which layers are high and which are low, but the overall effect is again truly fabulous! It seems a little above and beyond to cut up another die to make a fancy hexagon edge, given all the fancy hexagon edges, but maybe you wanted to show how well the Jennifer edge goes with the hexagon edge you did use. That's a nice pattern on the Ecliptic Edger, but the most amazing thing is how you put teeny pearls between the circles on the hexagon closest to,the sentiment! Wow!
ReplyDeleteGood luck in the drawing. Saturday will be a big day if the launch winners are also drawn that day.
Best,
Donita
Good morning Sue,

ReplyDeleteHello Sue and all
ReplyDeleteLucky winner of this stunner Sue. Still making the decision to go with the hexagons or the octagons a tough one. The pinwheel flowers are a stand out too.
In the middle of moving the craft area from the back of the garage (carpeted and nice but cold in winter and hot in summer) into the spare bedroom and have just found out that the heavy stuff is being moved tomorrow morning so the panic is on to pack up both rooms by then (It is nearly 6 pm here now). I am sure it will be worth it in the end and just hope it is done in time to play with my order from your release when it arrives.
Good luck everyone, still missing our absent friends, hope you can return soon
Hugs
