Wednesday Weekly Card Giveaway

Hi bloggers!  Not white on white, but very close, how about milk on milk for today's card giveaway offering.  I started with a piece of milk card and embossed it with the Snowflake Mosaic embossing folder for background texture.  I rubbed Enchanted Gold Gilding polish over the top of the embossing very lightly to add some shine.   I ran a bead of Cosmic Shimmer dries clear glue around the edge and sprinkled it with Iced Snow and allowed it to dry.  Next I cut a smaller piece of milk card and used the inner decorative die from the Scalloped Snowflake frame and cut it randomly all over.  I backed it with another piece of milk card then added it to the embossed background with mounting foam.  I cut the Scalloped Snowflake again out of milk card for my focal element.  I cut the smaller one in the set in milk card and layered it in the middle.  I stamped my sentiment then cut it out with the centre die in the set and added it to the centre of the focal element.  I tied a bow out of cream satin ribbon and seated a small poinsettia in the centre from the Poinsettia Flourish and Corner die set.  I added cream flatback pearls and a milk on milk card mat and layer to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 8" x 8" in size.  Leave a comment if you are interested in being added to the drawing to win this card.  The winner will be announced on Saturday's blog post.  All for now, Sue x

  1. Beautiful Wednesday giveaway card, someone will be very very happy to receive this one. Fingers crossed everyone, it's stunning.
Elaine, poor Trixie, I hope she is fixed soon but it sounds as if your Gemini has behaved superbly. Well done on all your cards. Has Andrew heard about his treatment yet.
Crewe Trish, I hope Elissa has a lovely day at Bentley with the Carol singing and lunch. Bentley was where Elaine's son Andrew worked wasn't it. We too have Carol singers in at work one day before Christmas. They are a Soecial Needs school, the children sing their hearts out, their faces so full of joy, not always in tune with each other but that adds to the pleasure. We collect money in their yellow bucket and that helps pay for their celebrations at Christmas.
Also starting to make up the food parcels for the charities, Help the Aged, Animal Rescue and the Wonens Refuge. There aren't so many of the staff left this year but we will do our best.
June I could have loaned you the ironi as well as my ironing lol.
Happy day to all, keep warm and well. Sending special wishes to poorly and missing friends. Tracey thinking if you, hooe hospital visit went well.

  15. Morning Sue. You took my breath away when this stunning sample loaded. Milk Foundation card is one of my 'go to' shades, it's absolutely beautiful and it goes with every shade in the Foundation collection. I put it with the deep plumb card last year and made a stained glass bauble card with my polished silk glitters, in fact I made a few (all milk plus one other shade) and they all sold at the last market, so thought I'd prepare a few more ready for the 17th, then it happened, I watched my brain pack its tiny weeney teeney little bag, and leave, no looking back, no wave, nothing ! Thank goodness for your You Tube tutorials, all i needed was a quick prompt on how to start so once you started to tell me how you glittered one of your Stained Glass dies, i was well away, well i will be when i make a start on them later.
So today's giveaway - it's not a sample I'd want to part with so hope you have a few more replica's made Sue it's far too stunning to give away in my opinion.
So I'll keep it all crossed and send my love and hugs xxx

    It does look like lace!

Rose in Chester, are you saying your Christmas card list is 74, and you send out handmade cards? Wow!

Stephanie in S.C., it sounds like you need some shortcuts to keep the holidays from becoming a chore. How about a tabletop tree? Main dishes you can nuke? Ready-made desserts. Go easy on yourself so you can enjoy it, too.

Happy Wednesday my fellow crafters. Are we seeing some new faces? Welcome to the neighborhood!

    Love,

I love today’s card - it is truly lovely! I’m a big fan of milk card too as it’s just a bit softer than white. What a beauty and I do have the Snowflake Die too! Many thanks. Thank you for yesterday’s too.
I had a Migraine over the weekend so was sleeping most of the time! However I’ve been catching up since! Could do with Google’s cooperation though!!
Pat L. - thanks for asking ! You are kind! . I’ve explained about me . Maureen is ok but is very busy looking after her husband who isn’t so well. He is at home though! I will tell her you asked about her. It’s tiring being Sister Killen as well as doing everything else!
I am way behind on the Comments as didn’t read them at all over the weekend! Will try to catch up!
Wherever you are , take care and don’t go mad getting ready for Christmas! ( Note to Self !). Lol!
Yvonne and Laine are you ok! ?
Elaine - hope that Trixie doesn’t learn any new tricks!
I asked Saba to explain my absence! Now I need to tell her it’s ok! Well I hope so!!

This is a stunning card, love all the ivory. The recipient of the Card giveaway will be over the moon with this stunner.

    Beautiful.

Pam - I thought I was going to get my "itch" for carding resolved today. Not on my life, another plaster until 2nd January 2018. Physio said it was too early!

I am not a very happy bunny tonight.

Good luck to everyone in the Card Give Away draw.

    Love n hugs to everyone
