  1. Gorgeous card Sue, lovely. A mantle pleaser.
Elaine, I think the delivery times will get worse leading up till Christmas. My postie and local delivery man put my parcels (if they are not too big) through my conservatory window. I hate going to the sorting office, other side of town, queuing outside as only 3 can get into the little space at a time then you wonder why they didn't remove the elastic band and post them through the door individually, that is usually the van drivers not the postie.
Carmen I'm with you on the short weeks.
Diane I had thought of partial retirement down to 3 or 4 days but they have changed the rules and I would have to work a late shift 11 to 5on a Friday. I'm up so early and the traffic is horrific at 5 that I won't do it, and I also have the twins after school for their tea.
yorkiegirl, hope your cold clears up soon. Rest warmth and plenty of hot drinks for you.
June if you don't have enough ironing to warrant getting the board out I can send some aplenty,my most disliked job.
Muriel, you saved Santa and his Reindeer, good for you.
Sharon, so happy that you have arrived safely and settled in. Have a great break, you deserve it.
Hugs to all, heated and ready. Sending best wishes to all poorly and missing friends.

  11. Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, beautiful monochrome creation today, love it, can we have more please.

Pam I reiterate all you have said above. Oh you do make me laugh, it is my most hate job as well ironing, I started mine and the iron died on me, tried it in another plug, it tried to get hot then died again so it has gone to the great iron mountain in the sky.... lucky enough I have a back up which is a big one that gives out constant steam, it is just cumbersome to set up, so I will get an ordinary steam iron when I next go out. It is all done now for another few weeks.

Got to sort out my posting cards over the next few days and get them sent, also got to make my hubby's birthday card which is for Friday.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

  12. Morning Sue. Phew, boy oh boy do I need your inspiration right now ? I sure do. Today I start my orders, the hardest for me will be for my wonderful customer/friend from her sister, the wonderful mum grieving her 18yr old son, so CAS and a 'Thinking of You' a simple wreath made from your poinsettias. On the 'brighter' side she too has given me a big order as no matter how much she doesn't want to do all the festive stuff, their 16yr old daughter wants to celebrate her brothers life as he loved this time of year so she's pushed herself hard to do this bless her heart. I'm so thankful that we can Pin your stunning creations like today's sample, you've opened up a world of idea's with the dies you design and I'm so thankful to you and the team for the beautiful never ending help given via nothing but the love of craft and hard work no matter how enjoyable it is. So Julia and Phill (aka laughing man) named by my keeper in the nicest possible way, if you're reading Sue's blog, thank you too. Lisa, I'm not up to standard to try your lovely work - yet !
So a long full crafting day ahead for me with your help and inspiration, I know I'll manage and get through once I can feel my fingers enough to hold the tiny dies lol.
Sending Tuesday love and hugs your way and thanks for your daily inspiration xxx

Pam....am with you on the delivery dilemma. Why can’t they just take the band off as you say, and post two small packages through the letter box? I have had to go to the delivery office so many times because they don’t have the brains to do this! Makes you wonder!
    Have a great day everyone.
    Hugs.

Very striking in it's simplicity, love the Noelle die and of course those evergreen poinsettias will never date so keep the inspirational cards coming - if we don't use the ideas this year we will next year as some of us have the festive dies on our Santa list and he won't be coming for another 20 days yet!

  43. Dear Sue and Friends,

What do you mean, almost upon us? Well, you're probably right, once all the parties and concerts and all get going, there won't be a minute left to prepare. So I'll put Happy New Year sentiments on mine instead of Merry Christmas.

Such a pretty card today! I wonder how Striped Nasturtiums would look instead of poinsettias. And berry bough and pine needle foliage coming out of the flowers instead of flourishes down the sides. Just love the Noelle and Holly Frames.

    Always enjoy your videos.

    Have a Happy Tuesday.

    Love,
    Donita

  63. Your design today in black and milk card is very dramatic. Love the way you did the frames. Thanks for the tip about adding the extra card under the die when cutting the die out leaving an embossed piece that does not have to be run through the machine again with an embossing mat. Boy, was that a run-on sentence. Great tip. I appreciate the video.

  64. I am going to watch the video directly after this posting. I do love this card and can see it made easily into other uses.
My stamp club Christmas party was last night so I just posted for yesterday....being in the US I am always "late" any how but I was tired last night and just took care of my dog and went to bed.I got several new dies at the party but no Sue dies....the food was great and we played games. We have a nice group of crafty ladies.
I have to kick up my energy if I am going to get all done for Christmas. I will have my daughter and SIL here for a week so need to plan meals, etc plus decorate and have a small family party one night. Less than three weeks....the count down is upon us and I have not come close to finishing shopping. Today I hope to complete that and find a tree before it rains.I used to have the steam for it all but now it seems exhausting. Fun later though.....
Hope everyone has a good Tuesday.

Not quite sure which die it was as it wasn't shown at the beginning & I didn't catch the name during the demo. 70. Hi Sue,
Thanks for another great idea for Christmas cards. Love this elegant card. Is it there any card, made by you, that I don't love? Of course not.
You always bring something new into your cards ... there are so many new things for a newbie like me.

Finally, I am done with all b-days cards for 2017! Big relieve. On the other hand, I didn't make any Christmas cards, so far ... hope to start making them on Thursday. I decided to make only for my close family back home, so a total of 4-5 cards will be enough.

    Hugs to you all,

Beautiful card Sue as always and I loved the video. I intended to spend the day crafting cards and it's now after 5 p.m. and I haven't done any at all. First my Daughter came to see if I wanted to got to the post office and of course I jumped at the opportunity. I only had about half of my cards for Canada ready but it's just as well because A there was a long line up at the P.O. and B it cost me £58 for stamps!!. I hadn't been home more than 10 minutes when 2 of my adult grandchildren came unexpectedly and I was so glad to see them. While they were still here their Mother called me on Skype so of course we all 3 took our turn in chatting to her.
I'm out of breath just thinking about it!! As soon as they left, which was after 3 p.m. I decided I must check my e-mails to see if there was anything urgent and lo and behold it was after 4 p.m. Here I am at 5.30 p.m. and not a card made
    Until tomorrow I'll say BFN
    Love to all.
