Hi bloggers! Welcome back to the last post for today. This one is showcasing the other Stained Glass design in this release; the Robin Redbreast Stained Glass die. Shown here done in vellum, you can already start to see some of the fabulous ways you can use these dies to achieve beautiful looks. I love that this design isn't specific to Christmas either. You could use this for so many other occasions as well. As I do with most of my background sort of designs, there is not an edge cutting line on these, so you can decide just how large or how small you would like to make it. I have given it a wide border here so I can place mounting foam without it showing (something I love to do with my cards), but if you prefer a much smaller card, you can easily cut the design to your preferred size. Just leave a comment here on this post and you will automatically be entered into the drawing to win this die set. So, day one done, do you have a favourite yet?? I would love to know. Day two starts here bright and early at 6am. I am looking forward to seeing you back then. All for now, Sue x

Hi Sue,
ReplyDeleteMr. Robin is certainly showing off his finest colors in the beautiful card. I know that Rose G is probably excited to see this as I think it is her favorite. I think it's extra special in that it doesn't have to be just for Christmas. I always smile when I see Robins hopping around in the grass.
It has certainly been a wonderful first day and I shall be anxiously awaiting to see what lovely creations tomorrow brings.
Thanks for sharing with all of us.

PP - 6:36 AM? You are an early bird dear. Hope this means that you feel better.
Laine – First shocked today was to see PP’s very early comment. The second one came from you … friends? Since when? Welcome back? It is what you want me to say? Should I say it? Not yet … you have to prove first that you missed me/ us :) Are you coming back tomorrow?
The Kid is not doing good at all. He is in a lot of pain again. He’s tired physically and mentally. We don’t know why but he doesn’t want go to see the doctor. His manager asked him to come for a visit but he wasn’t up for this. We are worried for him. Hopefully tomorrow he will feel better.
Hugs to you all,

Good evening lovely Sue and her crafty crew!
ReplyDeleteOh my golly gosh, what a totally awesome die and card sample! Robins just happen to be my favourite birds, they are so colourful and proud and I have warned Darcey and Brodie that they will be evicted if they ever bring one home as a "present":-)
I adore this card, it really smacks of Christmas and would be great for batch making because who doesn't love a little robin?
Choosing a favourite die is a big ask though Sue, each and every one of them has their own charm and desirability. Whilst i am a HUGE fan of all your stained glass dies, i have also been seduced by your 2017 Angel and the Three Wise Men....i fully intend to buy ALL of your new release at some point because it is just so super fabulous and i simply cannot discriminate between them.
Feeling understandably drained after my conversation with Yvonne, boy is she hyper and excited by the launch but who can blame her....trying to get a word in edgeways was a challenge though, I think that my ears began to bleed at one point!:-) She didn't seem to be adversely affected by her hideously early start this morning but whether she has the staying power to achieve it again tomorrow is debatable....i know that commenting at that time of NIGHT is a scary prospect for me, I REALLY need my beauty sleep, you don't get to be this gorgeous without being kind to your body:-)
Donita, you are so right, i should just pop by with a brief comment when I am feeling out of sorts...normally if I'm not my usual fabulous self, witty and engaging, i will avoid commenting but i now realise that my adoring public need me!:-)
Carmen, so you're shocked that I refer to you as a friend? Well, I'm wounded:-( I thought that I meant more to you than that but i guess you're plagued by feelings of abandonment due to my lengthy absence. I guess that i need to build your trust again so of course i will be back tomorrow, how could i miss this awesome launch, it would be criminal! So sorry to hear that the Kid is having a tough time of it:-( I do hope that his health improves soon because he has been through so much, sending him hugsxxx
So looking forward to tomorrow's offerings though i do have to go out for a manicure and spot of shopping and commenting will be later in the day:-( What do you mean that I don't have my priorities right Yvonne?:-)
Huge hugs to all of my bestiesxxxx
Love and crafty hugs

Hello Sue,
ReplyDeleteA beautiful end to a wonderful first day. What's not to love about a robin. Love how you have softened the effect with vellum. It's going to be hard to chose which dies to get priority on the wish list. Thank you for all your hard work and thank you for your generosity. Looking forward to tomorrow.
Maureen I've been thinking about the coconuts and seeing as it was Jess' idea I think she should wear them. Ps can you lend me a Tena!

You ask the question which is our favourite so far, a very difficult question to answer for me!
I like them all very much but if I had to choose a favourite die for me it would be The Three Wise Men as I do not have anything like this in my Die Collection.

I absolutely love that Stained Glass die!!! What a wonderful addition to any collection.
ReplyDeleteDear Sue and the All-Agog Followers:
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the Three Wise Men. By far!
For some reason, I have an aversion to poinsettias.
And, I'm not familiar with robins as a symbol of Christmas. Do yours winter over? Ours are a symbol of spring, as in, spotting the first one, bob, bob, bob, bobbing along.
Love,
Donita

Hi Sue,
ReplyDeleteThis is the die which immediately "spoke" to me (it said BUY ME!) when your new collection was first shown online. I loved all the techniques that Julia demonstrated on Hochanda with your previous stained glass sets - so much scope for fun and experimentation.
