Festive Collection

Hello bloggers!  This post is dedicated to two dies sets; the Gingerbread House and the Gingerbread Roof.  Shown here, you can see that this set can make into a 3D house for your Festive display at Christmas.  Although you cannot see it in this photograph, I have made the side windows sheer using vellum so you can put an electric tea light inside the house and it glows through the windows.  It will be very pretty at Christmas time.  The Gingerbread House set can easily be used on it's own too as was seen in the previous post.  If you want a bit more, add the roof and make it into something 3D for a Christmas keepsake.  Comments?  Don't forget to leave them!  See you at 3pm!  All for now Sue x

  14. Hello Sue and the WIlsonettes,
Stupid question Sue but is the frame from the Gingerbread children the side of the gingerbread house because if it's not we have a front and back of the house being held up by the roof panels but there is a hurling great wind blowing in through the center and our little friends are going to get cold?
Lovely wee house and they can duck to get in the front door, these houses just weren't built for big people just like our own in todays day and age. my poor wee cousin has come a cropper a few times being 6'8" and misjudged the height of some doorways. Thank you flower for bringing out the inner child in me that likes to show up now and then if given the opportunity.
    Love and crafty hugs

Sharon, best news I have heard for ages, Shane you have had to wait and worry for so long.
Maureen,Norah my car is not a little roadster, it is a four seater, so big doors and easier to get in and out of. June, funny I didn't hear the wolf whistles, probably thought it was the wind. I'm afraid my days of wolf whistles are long gone, but thanks for the morale boost.
Hapoy to report breathing much easier today it's cooler.
Pat, I bet Sarah is having such a great time, so well deserved, she is one brave little trooper.
Rosemarie, hope the hospital visit went well, sorry you had a bad morning.

Ahhh, you made a 3D Gingerbread house. What fun! Here I was reminiscing about baking gingerbread houses and little men. You have made it so much easier for us crafters to make gingerbread houses and little gingerbread men. And, it will last so much longer. And one doesn't have to worry if it rains so the royal icing can set up properly. No little hands swiping the icing and candies and nibbling the corners. And your gingerbread house can light up! WOW! It doesn't get much better than that. Is the size of your ginerbread house so one can hang it as an ornament on a Christmas tree?

What a super idea, really ingenious! I loved the gingerbread house on the last card but seeing it in 3D format just blows my mind, how do you do it Sue, you are consistently brilliant and challenge our creative heads to produce pure works of art that would be impossible without your fabulous dies. Whilst I don't anticipate producing a 3D version , i would get plenty of mileage out creating the flatter version on novelty cards over the festive period.

With some little lights inside too, they will be perfect for around their own tree they have in their bedroom. Thanks for all you inspiration and hard work in designing these for us Sue. Hi Sue:

What a great keepsake decoration to make for Christmas. Love the fact that it can still be used to make a card as well. Christmas card and gift all wrapped up into one.
