Festive Collection

Hi bloggers!  I have long been fascinated by the look of all things 3D, especially when it comes to crafting!  This post is dedicated to showcasing the new 3D Fireplace die set.  Shown here, you can see just how realistic the fireplace looks.  The die set comes with a number of items that can be used to build up the scene and add detail to your festive cards and projects.  While the die has been specifically designed to be used in a 3D manner, you can easily nip away the tabs and just use it on a flat card as a regular fireplace, but I think you will have more fun when you add the dimensional detail to it!  The die cut will fold flat for posting too so now worries there.  Leave me a message on this post if you would like a chance to win this one.  I will be back at 6pm  for the last post of the day.  All for now, Sue x

  17. Another one that I wasn't sure about when I saw the preview, even though I like 3D cards. Having seen what you've done with it though, I'm converted and it's on the shopping list. I do sometimes have a problem visualising what they'll look like when I just see a die.

  32. Hi Sue, I absolutely adore this fireplace and I love that it folds flat for postage - you really do think of us, don't you. I have several ceramic fireplaces that take a tea light and come out every Christmas. I would love to be able to make this one so that I could share my fireplaces with my friends. The little extras - candelabra, mantel clock, stocking & wreath are so sweet and I have already mentally assigned them to a shadow box card as well.

Rosemary - sorry your time at the hospital was upsetting but don't worry about the tests; doctors just love tests to rule out everything before deciding what is actually wrong :-)

Pat L - great to know that Sarah is having such a lovely holiday in Florida! If anyone deserves it - Sarah does! The family too. They are in Florida , your friends are in Barbados and you are left at home in your Nurse's Uniform! Never mind such is life sometimes! Sending you a hug though!

    Hi Sue:

I have tried in the past to make a fireplace card and it hasn't turned out as well as I wanted. This would make a lovely addition and I like how it is 3D. Fantastic idea.

  155. Good evening Sue and the Wilsonettes,
Oooo Sue, this just needs that big man in the red suit to make an appearance. What a great idea and from my wee brain, what about wee girls and boys dolls houses, they can now have a proper fireplace in it as long as they make sure that the fire is out before Santa makes his appearance down the dollies chiimney as we don't want him getting a burnt bum. Oh boy could I go back in time here Sue and make up some lovely things with you dies for my old dolls house. Thank you flower for setting that wee Norah out to play although having said that, I'm not much bigger now, hee hee hee.
Well we have had every kind of weather up here today and some of it just not nice at all. My friend is going down south for his brother in laws funeral on Saturday so said that he was taking down clothes that he didn't wear, so I spent last night going through Rory's wardrobes and got at least one bag of brand new clothes that he is never had on his back and today I have spent it going through mine leaving a trail of destruction in its wake. I went up to my friends house with 6 black bags full of clothes, shoes, belts and even some make up for those poor folk left with nothing after that horrific fire. O.H. doesn't know why I would put make up in the bag, but not all women are like me and wear nothing. Some women like to put their face on and at times like this, putting their face on is a way for them to combat their grief and put on a make believe front, well that's what I think anyway, he might be right, I might just be being stupid but at least I have tried. His car is going to be stowed as he has 3 bags already and his new friend was giving him things to take down as well, so we think both the back seat and the front will be chockablock with items. I said to him earlier that I hoped he was travelling light because there wouldn't be any room for anything else, ha ha ha.
Sending hugs to all the Wilsonettes, I hope that tomorrow is a better day for some that need it,
    Love and crafty hugs
    Norah ( Glenochil)
