Festive Collection

Good morning all!  We are starting out today with two die sets; the Gingerbread Man and the From Our House To Yours sets.  Shown here together you can see so many possibilities.  The Gingerbread Man die set comes with a candy striped frame as well as the gingerbread man.  There are also several great extras that can be used to dress up your Gingerbread man or even make him into a gingerbread gal if you wish!  There is also a sentiment included in the set so there is a lot of value for your money. This set can be used in so many different ways and with so many other dies, it is sure to be a firm favourite, well it is for me!  Hope to see you back here at noon for the second post of the day.  All for now, Sue x

This is lovely. Sue very cute, perfect for the younger members of the family.
Maureen can't believe you gave away a jug of the Pink Stuff, lucky physio.
Yvonne, so happy to read Dillon is improving, so many worried peeps on here. Yes I drive a convertible, bright red, you forgot the "old" poser, that is generally what I get called.
Saba, not sure penitent suits you but Laine will get her revenge I'm sure.
Chest is fine folks, just can't breathe in this heat. See Respiratory physio on Monday, see if it can help. We do have air conditioning at work but it us still so warm in the office, however, the swans are back on the river, the boat crews from the University rising , it all looks lovely.
Have a good day, hugs to all, especially our poorly and missing friends.

  5. Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, such a cute card today and this die set has got to be one of the most sought after in the collection, I so love gingerbread men and the house is a big wow factor, love it, and also like all the little additions with this die too, certainly value for money.

Pam I reiterate all you have said above. I can just visualise you driving along in your red convertible with the wind in your hair and all the wolf whistles you get.

  15. A warm sunny good morning to you Sue. What a cute sample. My intentions are to get all the dies associated with this collection, they are just sooo adorable for the children in our lives and a smash hit for the market. But the Gingerbread house will be special for a newlyweds first you know what (C) in their first home and for anyone that has moved into a new home during the festive season. All in all Sue, a gorgeous collection that makes my mouth water. I know for sure we're in for lots of sweet treats today and in the months to come with video tutorials plus 'still' tutorials, hope you are enjoying this launch as much as we are. Roll on lunchtime ☺ xx

  16. Hi Sue and Crafters,

What fun! The sentiment will work with the door/window set dressed up with a wreath on the door. I just love the gingerbread details, especially the rick-rack icing on the cuffs. Also love how you used the icicle edger on the roof. Now I really want to eat some gingerbread!

Thank you again, Sue, for being so generous with your inspiration.

    Love,

Absolutely adorable - as cute as can be - love it x
I know I would get miles of use out of this for both children and adults alike x
It takes me back to when the boys were little and they would construct an IKEA Gingerbread House every Christmas. It would take hours and the mess was indescribable - as were their finished results. They certainly did not resemble anything remotely 'house like'. Might be down to the fact that they had eaten most of the walls during construction! x
Thanks Sue for such a fun aspect to this 'covers all eventualities' launch x
Maureen - I asked the vet if there was anything that could be done and he said I was beyond help. Bet your physio had a party last night - yeh, no more Maureen! Lol x
Pam - old was not one of the words that sprung to mind when thinking about you - there were many other words but for the moment I will stick to poser. Lol. Please be careful - this weather really is no fun x
Thank you everyone for your kind words. Dillon is definitely improving x

  108. Good morning Sue and the Wilsonettes,
Oh it's so nice that we can have a boy and a girl gingerbread wee one with their very own little things to make them happy. I wonder if we could trim/put her on a diet to fit into some of bella's clothes? It's good that you have made them their own little home as well because otherwise where would they sleep, lol. Can you tell the fun that someone of a 3 year olds mindset could have here Sue, hee hee hee. A great set to make for those little terrors called Harry, Bella, Mo etc. Oh i didn't tell you about catching him at the nursery kissing his little friend Molly on the seesaw, his mother came in and catch him in the middle of the act so we're not telling his "girlfriend" Bella that he was seen kissing her best friend, lol. It was so funny when he wasn't even two yet and Molly is 3 months younger than him and half the height, she's a dainty wee thing but she gets so excited when Harry comes on Tuesdays to nursery and she gets to hold his hand and play with him, sharing her dinner because Harry boy has already finished his a while back. Isn't it funny when you see such innocence in children and then they need to grow up.
PP Yvonne, we had already came to that conclusion a while back so you didn't need to pay the vet to tell you that, hee hee hee, but i'm glad that your wee friend is improving, a home needs a little friend in it.
Pam flower, i could get down no problem but it would need a pnuematic crane to get me back up and out of it. Does your car seat go back, because then you just throw a cover over me and i could sleep there.
Ha hah ha Pat L, i read your comment and seen you as having breakfast with Dr McStuffins and getting the hugs of Olaf, dohhhhh i really need those glasses but i hope you had a ball with your "friends"yesterday hee hee hee, i'm glad wee Sarah did. See told you mind of a 3 year old.
Well we have an absolutely beautiful day up here is Central Scotland at my beloved Ochils. Yes there is clouds in the clear blue sky but they are those lovely fluffy light ones that just float along as the notion takes them. O.H. is off all week so how lucky am i, not. I don't think he even thinks about things before he opens up that mouth of his and puts it into 6th gear. Oh well never mind, i shall leave you all the now and hugs to all my Wilsonettes, be good or as good as you can be

  113. Hi Sue, this is such a cute card and because I am late on parade I have now seen the gingerbread house as well. I love the gingerbread man/woman and all the extra bits to make them just right and the 'flat' house with its icicle trimmed roof is lovely. The text is not one I would use for myself but one of my customers who has now sadly passed away would have loved it, she was always asking for cards with that sentiment on so I wish I could have had this die before now.

Pam - I hope it cools soon and your breathing gets easier.
PP - so pleased that Dillin is responding to the meds and hope he continues to improve.
Rosemary - hope your appointment is worthwhile and the consultant can help you.
Sharon - what good news on your results, you will be so relieved.

Saba – Hm. I always welcome new friends and never forget my old ones.
Sharon – Glad the result is good.
PP – I hope Dillon will continue to improve.

  124. Hi Sue. WOW !!! I am loving your new Gingerbread man/ lady dies !!! Your card is soooo cute and must have been such fun to make !!! I love all the little extras you have included in your die set for dressing up our little Gingerbread people too. What perfect cards they will make for children young and old !!! I think if I made these Gingerbread people cards for my young nieces and nephews this Christmas they would all want me to make them the matching Gingerbread biscuits to go with them, which I think would be quite a nice idea to do to. I love the "from our house to yours" sentiment. Another fantastic word die. Really useful. Thank you. Lots of love to you Sue from Tres x x x

Oh, look at this sweet card using these fun Gingerbread dies and embossing folder. Did you ever bake a ginerbread house and man at Christmas time? Remember all that royal icing with all the mess; and those sweet candies used on the house and little man? Decorating the house was so much fun. The fragrance of the gingerbread baking was pleasant, too.

I made them for my children and now I make them for my grand children.

  176. Sue,
    Wonderful card!!!
    This is so sweet.
I love gingerbread boys at Christmas time!!!
They are a must have in my arsenal of dies.
It is a tradition in my family to make hundreds of Gingerbread boys and give them out to friends and family at Christmas time. My grandmother did it....my mother did it and I and my sisters do it. I remember growing up and my mother making gingerbread boys every year. Hundreds of them!!! We would love it when she messed up on some, because we could eat her mistakes. We use the same recipe that my grandmother used. I have never tasted any better....sooo good!!!
I send them to my grand children every year. With this new die of yours I will make and send Gingerbread cards to go with them....They will love it!!!!
Thank you so much Sue, for all these lovely cards you are making to show us how to use the dies.
You must take a lot of time to design them and then to show us these beautiful cards and different ways to use them.
Coming from someone who has to have ideas.
The ideas do not come easy for me.
I need and ideas to take from.
I wish I was as talented as so many of you gals.
    You are the best.
    Thank you. Thank you.
