Festive Collection

Hi there my crafty friends!  First up today are a couple of dies that work beautifully together.  Shown here, the Woodland Animals and the Winter Wonderland die sets are on offer this post.  The Forest Animals have a gorgeous set of matching stamps that are available separately that add such detail to these dies, I just love the realistic look that they bring to the die cuts.  The Winter Wonderland sentiment die is one that can be used both in the positive as I have done here or as a negative cut out as well.  The lovely thing about that is not only the versatility, but you can arrange the words in the sentiment to fit whatever space you need for your own projects!  Leave me a comment if you would like to be entered into the drawing to win either one of these sets.  I hope to see you back here at noon today for the second post of the day.  All for now, Sue x

What a lovely start to Day 4, this is gorgeous. Two lovely sets, just love those deer. Stunning card.
I must confess to ordering the stained glass twosome yesterday, looking forward to seeing them in the flesh.
Happy Fathers Day to all dads out there and to my dear dad who died when he was 59, miss you every day Dad.
Maureen, hope the street party raised lots of money for the.hospuce, such a worthy cause. It all sounded such fun and the weather was perfect.
Elaine, hope Andrew and Darren are having a great time. Are you feeling better now Hun.
Saba you and Carmen sure have Laines curiosity working overtime, you are naughty girls.
Julie Laz, hope you get your machine sorted soon, I have the Ebisser which is great, rather fancy the Gemini if I need a new one, looks so much neater too.
Hugs to all, those on holiday have a great time, thinking iof all our poorly and missing friends, missing Norah, so quiet without her, caring hugs for the Kid.

  2. Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, is it really Day 4 of the new release samples, oh you have my brain going round in circles, these 2 die sets today are fantastic, it is not until you see them made up that you realise how wonderful they are and to have the stamps to go with them really brings the deer etc. to life. Someone is really going to be so happy to receive these.

Pam I reiterate all you have said above, lost my Dad in 2002 but only seems like yesterday but happy fathers day to my husband and sons.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

  13. Songs make such good sentiments because they start the music in people's heads. I'm still in love with your swirly-rumped deer family. Lots of possibilities in the woodland set, because they don't have to be in winter. I can see that big dead tree as a fallen log with moss and squirrels. Interesting to emboss stars in the snow. Thanks again for letting us binge on treats this week.

What a way to start the day. I love being out in the mountains and watching the wildlife, I go to the National Parks in Western Canada every fall just for that purpose, so this card is just magical. The deer look so lifelike. I especially like all the little critters that you have included and the various trees. Fantastic.

  116. Hello Sue,
A lovely card and a great selection of woodland creatures and trees! A very useful Die set. You really have got something for everyone in this Launch . Something to suit all ages too. Looking forward to seeing what else you do in the weeks ahead! All being well!
Elaine - yes I'm cooking today! It will be nice though. So pleased Andrew enjoyed his surprise - he so deserved to be treated! Well done Darren though for actually planning it all.
Carmen - I am fortunate to have a friend like Maureen! Even though she does sign off " Who on earth is Myra!" Lol .I've met some lovely friends on this blog and some I feel are friends whom I haven't met! Hope that makes sense.
Well I must get on! Have a lovely day everyone!
Love to all Myra, ( Friend of Maureen!) xxx

  119. Hi Sue, a gorgeous card and I adore all of the forest animals. They, along with the stamps, will be joining my collection. I have your previously released trees (which are regularly used) and the deer and I can see all of these lovely new ones playing happily alongside them. I like the font on the sentiment die and that the words are separate so can be placed anywhere, you really do think of everything.

Missing Norah and her descriptions but I can tell you that there is no sunshine on her hills at the moment. Although the hills are beautifully green and clear the sky is full of cloud and there is a stiff breeze blowing. If anyone 'down south' would like to share their sunshine we will happily accept it.
PP - Paws crossed for Dillon
Beverly - the National Parks sound amazing.
Elaine - so pleased that Andrew enjoyed his treat.

  127. Hello Sue,
Really like these dies. The animals and scenery on the first are great, and well, you doesn't like "A Winter Wonderland"? Fabulous.
Pam, I'll find out later this week how much money was raised as all the stall's money and donations have to be collected and totalled. We hope it's good.
Elaine, so good to read that Andrew really enjoyed his treat.
Carmen, I am a member of the Myra Appreciation Society, although to say she's a friend is pushing it ha ha.
Yvonne, so sorry to read about Dillon, hope the cause is soon discovered and treated successfully. Pleased to read that your parents survived their visit to you!!!
Norah pet, happy birthday on this sunny day. Hope you are spoilt and pampered.
A little bit of unnecessary information!!! I am T Total, never drink alcohol. My daughter made the most amazing fruit drink yesterday with strawberries floating on the top. It was in a gigantic jug and she kept filling up my glass. I drank at least half of the jug on my own as others were having wine, etc. At the end she said "have some of the strawberries mam" and put about 6 of them into my glass - they were delicious. My sister in law decided to have some (after she'd been on the wine) and said "It's lovely, what's in it?", to which my daughter listed the ingredients. I wondered why I was having difficulty in finding the right words for things hic. I can't remember what she said but the word liqueur was mentioned a few times ha ha xxx

  133. Hello Sue,
What a lovely card to start today's excitement. Love how you composed the scene with your beautiful deer in the foreground standing on the glistening snow. It's lovely. The die set itself is brilliant with all its variety of woodland creatures. And another lovely sing along sentiment for us to sing along to all day long! Love it.

Norah Happy Birthday hope you have a wonderful day. xxx
Rosemary so glad you didn't laser cut your hubby!
Elaine so happy to hear Andrew enjoyed his treat, it must have done your heart good to know he was having a a good time.
Yvonne I hope they soon find out what is wrong with Dillon and it's not bad news, you must be very worried. You are one of the lucky ones still having your dad but it must be hard knowing the boys are missing theirs today. Big hugs.
Maureen I would have loved to have seen you yesterday, you are hilarious when sober, you being tiddly would have been a sight to see!
For those of you seeing your dads today give them an extra cuddle, for those of us who missing ours cherish the memories.

  147. Very nice card. Can't wait to get them all. To hard to pick favourite because they honestly are all great designs. I moved from ONTARIO to ALBERTA and I live an hour away from EDMONTON. If there are any Sue Wilson fans in Edmonton I would love to meet up with some fellow card makers. In the area I live there are no scrapbooking clubs or retreats that I have heard about. I would really like to be around people that will help me grow as a card maker and have a common hobby as me so we will have lots to talk about.

What a beautiful set of Forest Animals and trees. And there are matching stamps. This is good! Your "Walking In A Winter Wonderland" sentiment die cut is perfect for this card design. I like, too, that one can use the positive and the negative parts of this sentiment die. I like your vellum poinsettias. Great design. It reminds me of the times when my husband and I walked into the woods near Christmas time to find that special tree. I always chose a tree that was twenty feet tall! I liked the top of the tree.

  156. Good afternoon Sue and the Wilsonettes,
I ilove this winter wonderland set of the various animals, the trees bare and in leaf. This is a definite needed set as i can see so many different seasons, reasons to use and all sorts of cards that this die set is going to help make. The amount of different cards you could make just with this die set alone is pheomenal and i can not wait to get this set and start experimenting. The variety of people that you could make for with this one set is terrific so in my mind it is not a want scenario, it is most definitely a need. Thank you Sue for such a wonderful die set that is just so brilliant.
