Festive Collection

Hi bloggers!  We are at the end of day number three, but the god news is that there is still plenty to come!  This post is showcasing the other new Snow Globe scene called Here Comes Santa.  It has also been designed to work with the Snow Globe die or can be used one it's own as a stand alone circle die set.  Shown here as a shaker card with our round treat cup, you can see how cute it looks with the snow globe die.  There are just so many fun elements to add to these shaker cards too including stars, white micro beads, fall away stars, Iced Snow, you name it!  These make such a fun card for any recipient!  With three days under your belt now, any firm favourites?  I would love to know what you think!  Please leave a comment on this post,  If you are new to the blog and have never left a comment, there are directions for doing it on the right hand side of the blog, it is ever so easy to do!  Join me back here in the morning bright and early for the start of day four!   All for now, Sue x

  6. Wow Sue another fantastic die and I love these Snow Globe dies, you can bling them up or down and add a bit of acetate to make a shaker card and the world is your oyster with them, I love snow globe dies.

The card you have made using the snow globe today is fantastic as your cards always are of course.

I don't know if it is my favourite of all the new festive ones as I love them all so far.

Thank you so much Sue for all the inspiration you give to us crafters every day, it is very much appreciated by the less artistic of us.

A beautiful addition to the Sniwglobe die and if you made Sniwglobe cards last year this will refresh the range and give something different. Looks very masculine and smart in black, love it.

  83. Good evening lovely Sue and her crafty crew!

What a fantastic way to end day three of the launch, another addition to the Snow Globe set of dies. You never fail to surprise and pleasure me in ways that i had forgotten about Sue, who needs a man when you consistently produce the goods?:-)
I love Santa designs, he is quintessentially Christmas and fills me with unbridled joy and excitement, and i agree, the font is particularly beautiful. I never tire of the Snow Globes, they are perfect for children , men and the young at heart and provide a straightforward, quick and easy solution when you are stuck for ideas, the card almost makes itself.
Whilst i can appreciate that it would be helpful if i could provide you with a favourite from the launch thus far, I'm afraid that it will be impossible....every die is unique with their own advantages and desirability and when it comes to your festive launch i find that i adore everything on offer:-) i cant even say which ones i will buy first!
Being a real shopaholic...you will appreciate this Saba....i am tortured during a major launch, unlike Yvonne who, apart from Yankee Candles, is happiest buying dies, i find it impossible to give up my insatiable need for shoes, handbags, clothes, jewellery, cosmetics etc etc, short of committing another jewellery heist or winning the lottery....which i am told is less likely than Wayne Rooney becoming PM....i am set for many months of restricted food intake:-( If only I could persuade my Mum to contribute by giving up her cigarettes...for the good of her health of course!:-)
I am feeling slightly jealous this evening for two reasons, firstly, we in Central Scotland are having to suffer the complaints of the whinging Sassenachs who are currently being blessed with wall to wall sunshine whilst we are having to live under a permanent dark cloud with intermittent rain storms....enough of the moaning already Yvonne, just use liberal amounts of strategically placed talc or have a hose down with the sprinkler system! Ive heard Botox is great for excessive sweating:-). Secondly, I've been plagued by self triumphant texts this afternoon sent by someone who delights in rubbing salt into the wounds, yes, Yvonne felt an overwhelming need to share the fact that she had received a package full of Sues current release:-( She likes to pretend that she is all love and goodwill at the moment but I have seen a side to her that shouldn't be replicated even in adult company:-)
Maureen, hope you enjoyed your street party and managed to behave respectably....Myra and Saba inform me of your loose, wild side that if left unattended can wreak havoc, even with a dodgy hip:-)
Saba, i may be being paranoid but i get the feeling that you and Carmen aren't telling me something...are you inviting her to join the Gang of Nine without asking me first?:-( No, you wouldn't do that to me now, would you?
Carmen, so i am just an afterthought to you am i? Well, I think that i have given you more than enough chances at redeeming yourself for your persistent cheek and disrespect but its the final straw this time. And just what are you conspiring with Saba about you little minx?:-)
Great news about the Kid, he is so fortunate to have so many substitute Mums who care so much about him, hopefully this will give him the strength to fit this cruel diseasexxx
Crewe Trish, thinking about you and your Mum at this sad timexxx
Hugs to all my besties, hope you are all well and enjoying the sunshinexxx

    Love and crafty hugs

  84. Hello Sue,
I just don't know how I am going to choose from all these dies. Where do you get your inspiration from?
Jess, I didn't join in the Conga!
Myra, it's far too hot for tights.
The coconut shy was a great success - I just stood there and let them throw balls at me ha ha.
love to all, can't wait for tomorrow's beauties from Sue.

  105. Hello Sue,
Another winner me thinks! And it definitely is a fun card when used as a snow globe and would have pride of place on any mantelpiece at Christmas. I can't honestly say I have a favourite yet, but if I had to choose I would say the Twinkle Star frames and the Christmas Angel are vying for top position on my wish list. Looking, forward to tomorrow already.

This late catch-up business is no joke! I've read all the comments from the last four posts now and forgotten half of what I wanted to say!
Elaine I hope Andrew has a wonderful day, how kind of Darren to arrange such a surprise for his Dad.
Carmen im happy to hear the Kid is feeling a bit better, must be a relief for all his "mums". I think Laine is on to us, shhhh.
Maureen, hope there was lots raised for the hospice, they do such an amazing job of caring for our loved ones. Hope your coconuts stayed in place whilst doing the Hokey Cokey, don't try and kid us you didnt do it! I blame the strawberry punch!
P- glad the service went well, they chose lovely music.
Laine, fellow shopaholic, I feel your pain! I've had a bit of a credit card overload this week, Sue's fault entirely having watched the recent one day special, then my friend Heide has dragged me around the shops twice this week and believe you me we have some fabulous shops and I went a bit mad and now we all have to wish lists as long as our arms. It'll be beans on toast for the foreseeable future.
Pam, we are missing Norah on here too, but we will all be in touch with her tomorrow and send her your love.
    Love and hugs for all

  106. Hi Sue,

Another beautiful snow globe scene.Another die I need or want or both: want & need.A great way to end the day.My favourite so far? All of them ! Looking forward to tomorrow.

    Maria – Welcome back.
Norah - Hope you are doing alright and you’ll be back soon.
Pam - Only 24 baskets? Your garden must look like heaven. Love flowers. I have lots of plants in our apartment. Wish to have a real garden.
Elaine – How was Andrew’s day? Did he enjoy the surprise?
Maureen - Congratulations on your wins. Are you going to share it with your friend Myra...
Myra – Lucky you! Not everybody has a good friend like Maureen.
PP – What you did to Laine was cruel maybe, but ... you only tried to make her understand where her money should go first, right?
Saba – Got a new pair of shoes (hubby paid).I am keep telling to my son about Sue’s amazing Festive Collection ... hope to be a win situation, in my favor, of course. Our secret has to stay a secret, I agree.
Laine – Hm. Between you and me, even we are not friends, I could not do what PP did to you. So heartless! You need to choose your friends wisely, my dear.

    Have a great weekend everyone,

  108. I have all the snow globe dies from last year so will need both of these 2017 sets, of course. My other picks from the 2017 Christmas collection are: both of the stained glass dies (the robin, being my favorite). I am so enjoying the butterfly & bonsai stained glass I have now so these are a must for me. I also want to get the Twinkly star frame as it is so useful as well as pretty. I need The Wise Men. This last is in the running for my favorite. All are so pretty...would love them all but this is my shopping list for now.
Thank you for creating so many pretty dies so we can make beautiful cards for our friends & family.

I believe, I believe! Another great scene for the globe die set. Your design today is such fun. Great choice of embossing folder. This swirly embossing folder is one of my favorites. Shaky, shaky, shaky.

  138. Very nice card. Can't wait to get them all. To hard to pick favourite because they honestly are all great designs. I moved from ONTARIO to ALBERTA and I live an hour away from EDMONTON. If there are any Sue Wilson fans in Edmonton I would love to meet up with some fellow card makers. In the area I live there are no scrapbooking clubs or retreats that I have heard about. I would really like to be around people that will help me grow as a card maker and have a common hobby as me so we will have lots to talk about.

  166. Sue,
    I love your Snow-globes!!
I bought the ones from last year.
    Love. love, love, them.
I make a lot of cards for kids at Christmas time and they all love the snow globes.
They are a must have in my die arsenal.
Thank you so much Sue, for all these lovely cards you are making to show us how to use the dies.
You must take a lot of time to design them and then to show us these beautiful cards and different ways to use them.
Coming from someone who has to have ideas.
The ideas do not come easy for me.
I need and ideas to take from.
I wish I was as talented as so many of you gals.
    You are the best.
    Thank you. Thank you.
