Good Sunday morning all! I have an elegant wedding shadow box card for you today. I started by cutting the
Wedding shadow box out of
milk card. I added mounting foam to the back and attached it to a piece of black card backing that I embossed with the
Rose Blooms folder to make the boxes pop. In the largest square box, I cut the heart and inked it with
Antique Linen before removing it from the die. I glued it into place then added the
Mr. & Mrs cut in milk with a black shadow. I filled in the other smaller boxes with the bells, the smaller heart, the ring. I added the Champagne bottle and glasses to the long thin box and finished the last box with the follow your heart sentiment. I used the
Exquisite Poppy die set to make a flower and added
Iced Snow to it. I seated it in the lower corner on a black satin ribbon bow and adorned it with
Heart Sprays cut out of milk card. The card was completed with milk and black mats. The finished dimensions are 6 1/4" x 7 1/2" in size.

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, what a stunning card today, I absolutely love it, and what a wonderful keepsake for a couple getting married or even celebrating an anniversary, I love using the shadow box dies and like the way you have embossed the black card (which you can just see in the close ups) but also the heart has the same embossing on it, talk about roses we love you, this is truly stunning, going to the top of my list to make.

PP, hope you had a safe journey to I O W, it is such a beautiful place, I have been there so many times and never tire of it. If you get a chance, visit the lifeboat station at Bembridge, it is very interesting but also to the left of it (as you are looking out to see) there is a lovely cafe/restaurant which does the most amazing crab meals, caught fresh every day, would highly recommend it.
Carmen, congrats to the winners etc. of the Canadian world figure skating championships, they are so clever, I can't even stay up straight on ice.

Eldest son's birthday, eldest granddaughter passed her Bronze grade in Ice skating. She has not long passed grades 1-10 in 6 weeks instead of 60 weeks and youngest granddaughter took her first ballet exam. Very proud Nannie.

I am waiting for my daughter and her family to arrive they are staying with us for a week and then later this week my other daughter arrives with her family So I'm going to have a very busy but lovely time with them and the grandchildren. ReplyDeleteI'm a big fan of the Shadow Box dies, they are just so useful and versatile. This one in particular is a real gem, everything from the subtlety embossed background to the cute little champagne glasses screams glamour and sophistication, perfect as a keepsake framed as a remembrance of a wonderful day. I have all of these dies but unfortunately havent had cause to use them yet....never mind, at least i know that they will make the most perfect and elegant card for the most important of occasions, thankyou Sue, it is wonderful as usual.xxx
A beautifully sunny Sunday today, didn't venture out, simply enjoyed it from the comfort of my sofa however Brodie really enjoyed frolicking in the bushes in the sunshine....rather unfortunately as it turns out because Ginger Boy made an appearance! Brodie is very territorial but hasn't had occasion to get into a fight before....until now that is! Ginger Boy sensed danger and tried to roll on his back in submission but Brodie was having none of it and proceeded to rip lumps out of our visitor:-( Mum managed to separate them and Brodie retreated under a car doing as he was told for a change and staying put. There was cat fur everywhere as Ginger Boy sloped off, in the meantime, Darcey, who had been sleeping in my Mums bedroom, managed to open the window and run around the back of the house to save Brodie. Everyone was upset by the altercation, Darcey followed Brodie like a shadow until he came home and went to bed.....i don't think we will see Ginger Boy again:-(
Carmen, inspired by your win in the Ice Skating Ice Dance at the Worlds i decided to watch the highlights. It was very enjoyable, i really like ice skating having spent many an hour in my misspent youth at our local rink.....didn't have the talent of these beautiful skaters though:-( Canada fully deserved their success and you are right to feel proud of their achievements, well done! Feeling a little disoriented, you're being nice to me....almost, call me suspicious but i do wonder what your alterior motive could possibly be......:-)
