Thank You

Hi bloggers!  A black and white colour combo for today's blog post.  I started with the New Zealand Noble Border die without the outer cutting edge and cut it vertically into a piece of coconut white card.  I flipped it around and cut it again, leaving a small gap between the two cuts.  I backed it with black card to show through the cut out areas.  I cut a double strip of pearls down the centre and added a strip to each side of the background card as accents.  For the focal element, I cut the Sydney die in black and backed it in white, a reversal of colour from the background.  I cut a circular opening in the centre then added mounting foam to it to raise it.  I stamped my sentiment (from the Large Elegant Sentiments clear stamp set by Cr. Exp.) and covered it with a sticky adhesive sheet.  I peeled the backing paper off, then centred the frame over it and then glittered the remaining exposed sticky area with Diamond Snow.  I cut a frame from the double circle dies in the set an mounted it around the opening as an accent.  I tied a messy bow with thin black satin ribbon and added a black crystal sparkler to the centre of the bow and glued it to the side of the frame.  I finished the card with a white, black, white matting with top piercing with my ruler.  The finished dimensions are 7" x  9 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  70. Good morning Sue and the Wilsonettes,
I like this card Sue, i like the black and white colour scheme that you have used(now don't faint, someone pick Sue up off the floor as she has just fainted on me, lol). The black is more as a highlight to show off the white and does so perfectly and turns this into such a stylish card that fair enough i don't have the dies for but i have others and i will try to make a card for a friend(they are minimalistic and modern) who will just love it as right down her street. Thank you Sue for your inspiration once more and the talent that you share with us all. Sorry i haven't been in but not been 100 % and today i have my little bundle of joy who is keeping me on my toes, tired ones at that.
Frances, i was so chuffed to see your name as a winner on Sunday flower, i hope that you and the rest of last weeks winners enjoy their prize when it comes out to you. Sorry girls someone is getting fractious here and i am trying to burl my mum's study chair with him in it and type at the smae time, not easy so i will wish you all well with hugs to all my friends that need them,

  75. Hi Sue, I can see the appeal of this card but I am sorry to say it is not for me. I think maybe it is just the size and shape that is putting me off because I love the dies you have used.
