Festive Collection Day Five 12 noon

Hi bloggers!  I have two more great sets here available to be won this post.  The Merry Christmas Triple Line and the Poinsettia Additions.  I have had several questions about the poinsettia set prior to the launch so I need to explain this set.  I did an original Poinsettia set with my first Festive launch, then I did an matching open petal set with last years launch.  For the past two years I have been saying to myself that I wish I had a wider range of sizes to use in the poinsettias.  So this year's additions are the in between sizes and their matching open petal sizes together in one set!  These are a perfect addition if you have the other sets or they work equally as well by themselves if you don't own the others, a real win-win!  The Merry Christmas Triple line die is another that could easily go into my Perspective range category as it will give you a perfect positive/negative die cut!  Shown here, the negative has been used as a background behind my Poinsettia Mini Background (shown earlier in the week).  Just another reminder, leave a comment, don't miss a chance to win a free set!  The next post is at 3pm today.  All for now, Sue x

  13. Afternoon. Weather report wasn't wrong for Padstow !! Never mind, back to our gorgeous holiday bungalow with a bag of warm Rick Stein Cornish pasties and salted caramel merangues from his patisserie over priced but that's what happens when you become 'famous' BUT we know we will NEVER pay over the odds for our favourite designer dies cuz its full on value for money and last longer than ANY pastie lol.
Two more very very useful dies to add to our die collection and a beautiful sample to help show them. I'm so glad I've had the chance to catch up, my week hasn't been the same so far without your inspiration Sue. Hope you are getting as much enjoyment as we are. Sending love from Padstow Cornwall (a beautiful peaceful part of the world when you need some 'down time' in the UK (if you don't mind a drop of rain) !! Hi Sue, thank you so much for explaining about the poinsettias, I have the previous two sets and couldn't quite see what was different with this one but now all has become clear and these have been added to the MUST have list. 52. I love the Merry Christmas triple sentiment. I find if you plan to put embelishments/die cuts onto a card in a straight on fashion then a straight upward font such as yours are best. It's nice to have some fancy italic like fonts but in my opinion these work best when placed at a slight angle. You truly do the best mix of fonts, in my opinion. Thanks.

  74. Hi Sue,
The poinsettia dies are so welcome for us that love them and will add so much to our first sets that we have. It's amazing how just that tad difference can make such a great deal of oomph to the sets or on their own. I have the filigree and the other poinsettias as well but really it is with the plain set that we want the amount of variation with. Thank you Sue for all the hard work that you have done in your die designs and your creations to show them off to the very best advantage.

  75. Hi Sue - another great card and equally great dies too! I really LOVE the idea of having the open and closed petal Poinsettias in one set - as this really helps us with the cost of buying the dies. Our problem is that our hearts want ALL of the die sets - but our bank accounts don't agree with that! This way we can buy another type of Die Set and still get both open and closed petals - in one die set! Hugs Gilly R x

I had hoped that I would be semi conscious this morning to comment on your 6am card. No such luck - my mind and body are still in zombie mode and it seems like they are intending to stay there for the foreseeable!!!
This launch is just out of this world. This card is so beautiful and I adore the poinsettia additions. Such an ingenioius idea to give us even more versatility (as if you haven't given us much versatility already)! Lol x
I have now had more of a chance to have a proper look at all the cards which you have shared with us during this launch (and I missed on the actual day). My word Sue you just get so much better with each and every launch. You're like a bottle of good quality and expensive bottle of red wine. As it matures it just gets more sophisticated and surpasses all expectations. Apologies if you don't like being compared to an alcoholic beverage - could have been worse - could have said you reminded me of a bottle of lambrini - cheap, common and goes flat quickly. Lol x
Still not up to full brain cell activity so as yet not in the loop with all the latest news, fellow Wilsonette's. I don'tknow if I will make it for the 3pm card but will check in before close of business this evening.

  129. Good afternoon lovely Sue and her crafty crew!

Like many others, I was initially puzzled, nay intrigued, by the inclusion of a new set of poinsettia dies but you have sorted my muddle out no problem and just when I had assumed that there was a set of dies that I wouldn't need you go and persuade me that they are an essential addition to my die family.....what a great idea though because the original poinsettias largest die can be too big for slightly smaller cards so having more of a choice will be great:-)
The merry Christmas strips are fabulous and work so well as a background, wouldn't suit my friend Gill but then there's no accounting for taste is there?:-)
Lovely to see my old mucker Yvonne back on the blog as promised, I totally get your unique, quirky sense of humour as do many others my dear so don't change because it is light and refreshing:-) Looking forward to our chatxxx

Wonderful that you now offer the "Poinsettia Additional" die set. Now we crafters can group different sizes of Poinsettias on our cards. I am a flower "groupie"!

  138. Hi Sue. WOW !!! I love the colour combo of black, white and gold on your Christmas card. It looks very striking and bold. I did not think I would be buying any more Poinsettia dies but now you say they are the in between sizes giving us even more layers, I think they are another "must have" die set !!! They are gorgeous, as ever Sue !!! I love the look of the Triple "Mery Christmas" die to. I think this is a lovely die to make into a repeating pattern for a background. Thank you Sue for your wonderful striking card and beautiful dies. Lots of love to you Sue from Tres x x x

Well what can I say, it took me ages to buy the last two poinsettia dies as I already had the spellbinder see and couldn't justify the new ones but I'm so glad I did and I now it will only take me 5 minutes to know I need this set too! Haha. The other die is wonderful too and what a pretty card to showcase them. Thank you for sharing

This is a very regal looking card. I love the word strips die. So useful as a border vertically or horizontally. I especially love the poinsettias. I have your other ones, so this is a must have. I like to cut them out of red and green felt and they look stunning on Christmas cards. Thank you for sharing and for the chance to win.

  170. Hi Sue

Love the poinsettia set, I couldn't justify the others as I have the Spellbinders ones but this little all in one set is a different look to those and so I believe utterly justifiable! The sentiment strip is brilliant, makes a super background and will be fabulous for contemporary cards and cards for younger members of the family.

Having a right Sue Wilson dies binge this evening and enjoying it immensely!
