Finishing Touches

Hello and welcome back!  Last but certainly not least is the Exquisite Poppy die set.  Shown here in all it's glory, this flower is sure to be the hit of all your cards and projects!  You saw it during the last post as well and may not have even realised that was the same die!  It looks fabulous cut out of "poppy" colours or done in a more whimsical manner.  You will see this flower in so many ways in the coming weeks!  There is a wide range of sizes, allowing you to make six different sized flowers with the same set!  For the last time, I will ask you to leave a comment to be included in the drawing.  I will announce the winners in an afternoon post on Wednesday the 20th of April so don't forget to check back and see if you are among the lucky names drawn!  I do hope that you have enjoyed the release and seeing some sneak peeks at a few of the samples.  There will be many more to come, I promise!  All for now, Sue x

  39. Hi Sue, you left the best until last again. This card is beautiful and I knew that I would fall in love with the Exquisite Poppy dies. As far as favourites go I have to start with Gillian, followed by all the striplets and then this poppy. All the rest tie for fourth place and will have to be put in a hat for selection when the pennies allow.
Thank you so much for all your hard work from creating the dies through to posting all the lovely samples for our inspiration and for your generosity in giving so many away - again!

  41. Totally breath taking Sue. What a magnificent show of beauty. Oh yes, this IS my first buy if I'm not honoured to own this via your generosity. It just smiles at me Sue. A poppy it may be, but it will take any colour, after all, we inherited a carpet of yellow and orange - not on the same flower, but yes we have both colours of poppies in our little garden that seed like wildfire !! But imagin these beauties cut in vellum, and if there is a stamp to go with it, ooh my goodness, for once, my mind is running riot lol.

Well Sue, thank you for the most amazing few days. You have had some wonderful comments and rightly so, you must be very pleased at the reception you've had especially with those totally new to your design. Those shadow boxes, who would have thought it ay ? The Abour gate, happy couple, and those big greetings all in words, it's all thanks to YOU that those pesky males will be so easy to cater for now - thank you so much. And thank you for being your usual generous self for allowing us to be a possible owner of one of these amazing designs.

Congratulations Sue, both on this launch and the fb group too. Hope you've had a great day xx

Certainly saved one of the best until last. I recognised the exquisite poppy on the last post, but realised I'd written pansy after I pressed publish. However, I only knew because I asked you at Ally Pally. I've not seen a proper poppy made with it until now though. It's lovely and so versatile.

Really enjoyed your new die launch blogathon,, as always you have designed some greet dies and beautiful cards to show us examples of how they can be used. Thank you very much. I hope you can relax for a bit now and enjoy your continued success, you deserve it.

The card is fantastic...I've noticed you've used the poppy in a couple of your cards during the unveiling of the new collection but this is the first time I've seen them as actual poppies...it's gorgeous.
So, out of all the new dies I have to have this one as my favourite with the squares striplet coming in second :).

Wow talk about leaving me speechless, yep me, momentarily though* Lol, this is one of the most exquisite & most gorgeous of your die to date from this amazing & unique launch & the card is an absolute wow in my book. It would be fantastic to win a die from this delectable launch Sue, but do you know what it doesn’t really matter in the end if my name is not chosen, the privilege of seeing your astounding die collection & even more so the opportunity to see your exquisite & luscious cards is reward enough for me, I couldn’t ask for any more than to have exclusive insight & inspiration at my fingertips every day. You are the leading light in crafting Sue shining brightly for all who adore & appreciate your generosity in heart & gift. Thank you for sharing with us Sue & I sincerely hope that you have been as excited about this launch as we your devoted & faithful Wilsonettes have been x x x

  99. Good afternoon/evening Sue,
THis poppy is so beautiful and you have managed to get the right shade of red to make it perfect poppy colour. This would make a beautiful sympathy card amongst other days remembering. Poppies are such a happy flower swaying back and forth in the wind scattering their seeds far and wide and you are showing it in its best form as it doesn't need lots of glitter and rhine stones or pearls to shine, it does that on it's own accord. THank you flower for each and every one of your posts, for your hard work that is relentless and the care and attention that you take making each and every card to show off these dies of wonder and beauty to their best advantage. Sending love and hugs your way flower as you could do with some i reckon after the hectic few weeks you have had,

  116. I could say you saved the best 'till last..... but in truth you have show-cased many 'best' cards. I am so pleased you have produced the poppy die. Yes, many of us love them and I am no exception, but you can change the colours. Poppies come in many colours but it's possible for them appear a completely different flower depending on how you shape them. I prefer to have different sized petals and you have given us that too.

Truthfully, you would win prizes with this card Sue. You have pulled everything together so well including colour choices. Two small words - THANK YOU for all showcasing your dies and ideas. The words might be small but the sentiment is HUGE.

  117. Love poppies, so just love this die and the card is my sort of card, simple yet effective & the red poppies just ' pop'. Will probably be out of stock by the time I have saved my pennies, as I think it will probably be one of your best selling dies! Thank you so much Sue, the afternoons will be so dull this week (except for Wednesday) - good luck everyone.

  118. Evening Sue
And what a grand finale you have given us. This poppy is exquisite. I have seen you using it a few times throughout the launch and admired it but now that you have shown us the die in all it's glory it is a beautiful sight to behold x
I hope that you can see just how much everyone appreciates all of your hard work and wonderful talent that you so willingly share with us.
Your cards are pure poetry and I am always wondering what on earth you could possibly think of that could add to your already perfect and extensive collection. But you always manage to delight and surprise with the expected finishing touches and striplets but then you hand us completely new and original concepts (shadow boxes) which render us lost for words (well in my case - almost).
A launch always reminds me of a fantastic holiday. When it is over you find yourself longing for the next one. You cannot wait to go visit again and you are going back to exactly the same place but you know that you are going to be overjoyed by similar sights you saw the last time although more beautiful. You also know for certain that you are going to be completely charmed by new and exciting sights which completely take you by surprise.
Usually these trips only come round once a year but with you as our 'red coat' in charge of entertainment and coordinating away days we are lucky to be able to indulge in these trips more frequently x
I can't help wondering if you enjoy yourself as much as we do during the big reveal. You have no reason at all to worry that people are not going to like anything that you do. I do forget that you are human though and have to remind myself that there is no way you can possibly stay up on that pedestal all the time so must have the odd moment of being normal.
I hope you are sitting back feeling rather smug and proud of yourself that you have done the most amazing job of making a lot of people very happy.
You could do with something extremely sweet and sickly to celebrate - some homemade white chocolate fudge would be perfect. Lol x
Have a rest but know that we do not want you to take it easy for too long as we would all be thoroughly miserable without you and your talent as part of our lives.
Thank you for a wonderful week - launches and appearances on Hochanda. I can't include Ally Pally as I did not make it.
    Take care everyone
