Hi bloggers! Here is the first full post using some of the latest die release! I have embossed a piece of coconut white card with the new Pinpoint folder called Dot Matrix. I cut it into three panels and matted it with silver card and mounted them on to another piece of white card to create the background. Next I cut two of the Ornate Frame Happily Ever After die in white and backed both of them with Vintage Silver card, I crisscrossed them together. I cut the Bern die in white then nipped it in half to extend the pattern by adding it to the edges of my crisscrossed dies. Next I cut the inside die from the Antwerp in white and backed it with white as well. I used this as a backing for my sentient, which I stamped and cut out with the small oval from the set. I used the matting oval die in silver under it. I completed the card with a silver bowed tied from some ribbon in my stash and topped it with a white crystal Sparkler. Finally the card was accented with white flatback pearls and I added a pierced white mat, a thin silver mat and another white layer. The finished dimensions are 7" x 8" in size. All for now, Sue x

Good morning Sue. A stunning card, I'm seeing so many possibilities. It's been a fantastic few days of lots of posts and inspirations and you've shown us some amazing new dies but I do love the in-depth descriptions of your normal daily post. Now I really have to decide which die I can't possibly manage without, as unfortunately I didn't win the lottery this weekend to enable me to go crazy, and it's still almost two weeks until pay day! I hope that you are managing to have a little rest now, although I've been wondering - what does a professional crafter do to relax? Hugs to all. Sue XXX

ReplyDeleteGood Morning Sue Another beautiful card using some of your wonderful new dies & a fabulous embossing folder I love it!
ReplyDeleteHi Sue,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card. You are teaching me to "think outside the box" with my dies. I spent yesterday experimenting with Gemini and striplet dies, I knew the effect I wanted, but my poor old brain was in knots trying to work out how to get there, after much messing about with plates and shims - success. Without your inspiration it wouldn't have happened.
Regards
Dorianne
Morning Sue. What a very pretty card for today's post. I always like your panel cards. I would have to say that I particularly like the embossing folder. I think that because the pattern repeat is relatively small, it is understated so does not detract from the focal element.
ReplyDeleteLisbeth
Hi Sue.
ReplyDeleteLove the card. The silver and white colours make for a very elegant card.
Regards,
Evis M.

Hi Sue & Lovely Wilsonettes*
ReplyDeleteI’m setting my IPod up for work & while I’m typing this I am listening to the late & great ‘GLENN MILLER (I love Band music of this era) & what better to put me ‘IN THE MOOD’ for the day aswel as to be inspired by your amazing card Sue, the ‘Dot Matrix’ is incredibly out of this world & compliments the Ornate Frame, well the whole delightful & enchanting card actually, omit the bow & you have a classic male card or I can visualise the Bride & Groom in the centre with a few hearts for a wedding etc.
Congratulations by the way on your FB, I pray it has every success for you as your fabulous Blog & what a lovely way to have all your impressive card designs from your new launch galleried to be viewed instantly, I tried to leave a message but couldn’t leave one neither could I find a friend request for you Sue, not sure if this is how it works.
Well it has been quite a busy but happy & exhilarating time for you of late Sue, I hope you have been able to bask in the joys & highlights of it all, this launch, although I love all your dies, is probably very close to being the best & most beautiful to date, I’ve fallen head over heels with this unique & wonderful collection, as have many followers. At one point you had, over a day of 4 posts, 1,213 comments, so wonderful to see so many of you commenting to support Sue on her new launch.
We are so proud of you Sue & so mightily pleased that it has been a roaring success for you, you deserve an award in full recognition for your amazing talents, but until that happens, hopefully sooner rather than later, we, your family of Wilsonettes, hereby recognize to its fullest your astounding talent & we express our grateful appreciation & admiration for your commitment in sharing your remarkable designs with us. X x x
I will try & catch with comments later as I’m falling behind & really need to get ready for work
Wishing you a beautiful day, please take care my friends Love ‘n’ (((Hugs))) Sue, dear friends & lovely Wilsonettes. Beth B x x x x x

ReplyDeleteJune Smith - glad the op went well, just take it easy now and give yourself time to recover.
Theresa W - chicken pox! I had them nearly 60 years ago and as a small child it was so very hard to stop myself scratching. My mum made me put gloves on when I went to bed so that I didn't scratch in my sleep. Hope it passes soon.

Gorgeous, gorgeous card Sue. The ef is a stunner and white and silver is a lovely combo.
ReplyDeleteJune Smith, rest and recuperation are on the cards for you my dear. Get better soon.
Theresa W, get well soon. I imagine it's pretty miserable to have chicken pox as an adult.
I felt awful yesterday and finally realised I hadn't taken my last lot of meds the night before which is why. The headache was terrible. Much better today so I must get some more house work done. I would rather craft and I have loads that needs doing so I might do some this evening whilst my daughter is at work.
Well I had better get on with things now so I will say bye for now.
Sending love n hugs to all xxx

ReplyDeleteStunning card Sue! Hugs Gilly x
ReplyDeleteGood afternoon Sue and the Wilsonettes,
ReplyDeleteThis would make an exquiste wedding card or even silver wedding anniversary as the subtle hearts on the Happily Ever after frame just says romance to me. THe silver against the white could be as a wedding card if it is white gold or platinum that was the brides wedding ring colour which is what i like to do when making a wedding card for someon. The pin dot matrix embossing folder looks so nice and would do for man or woman. Thank you flower for an inspiring piece of beautiful art.
Well, tomorrow two of my dear friends that i met are taking me and another dear friend down to Carlisle for a couple of days and i am so looking forward to it, i can't believe that anyone would be as kind as they are, what a time we are going to have. I think that we may see a few friends while we are there so it will be lovely to be able to put faces to names at last. We have had a gorgeous day here at my lovely Ochils with the sun shining down, the trees coming into bud and some flowers starting to wave their happy faces in the wind. I hope where ever you all are that you have had such a beautiful sight to behold and had a lovely day. Sending hugs to all my Wilsonette friends old and new that need them or could just do with some they are there for the taking,
love and crafty hugs

A lovely card Sue. I particularly like the way you have cut the card to make 3 panels (have seen you do this before, but I forget to try it!) and I also like new embossing folder. Thank you!

Good evening lovely Sue and her crafty crew!
ReplyDeleteThis is a true Sue Wilson classic of epic proportions and whilst I have thoroughly enjoyed the past few days there is something serene and calming to get back to normal postings....besides, you would surely burn out if we subjected you to that level of creative demand and a life without my daily dose of Sue isn't one I care to contemplate!
Another reason to welcome normality is that we now get to enjoy fully your new dies in full descriptive format, that I am beyond excited about:-)
Today's gift is suitably breathtaking, everything from the triple panelled pin point EF background, to the ingenious use of the Bern die...how pretty it looks peeking out from behind that luscious Happy ever after die........to the gorgeous addition of the silver messy bow creates the most perfect card.
I'm propping my eyes open with matchsticks tonight, I didn't sleep much last night, had a ridiculously early start to the day so that I could ready myself for an emergency dental appointment. It's of my own making, I've had an infection for two weeks now that has been controlled by a steady stream of painkillers in the hope that it would sort itself out.....er, no!.....so now I've had to seek an intervention because I'm losing the will to live with the constant pain. The dentist took an X-ray and told me that I had an infection and that my gum had receded and exposed the nerve to one of my teeth, hence the pain. Unfortunately, I have to wait a week for the nerve to be removed so it will be soft lukewarm food and drinks until then and I will continue in a drug addled daze:-)
I'm happy to report that Brodies spot of exercise of an afternoon seems to be doing the trick as his little spare tyre has dramatically diminished:-) He is so happy to get the chance to forage and frolick on his own that I feel guilty for keeping him restricted for so long....don't get me wrong, I worry myself silly whilst he's out but his quality of life is paramount....he might be less inclined to lend a helping paw to my craft projects now which would be an added bonus:-)
June, lovely to have you back, I'm pleased that your operation was a success, just give yourself plenty of time to recuperatexxxx
Theresa, how rubbish to have chicken pox, I do hope it's a mild case....I've had it twice so I know it can range from being a mild nuisance to something more debilitating, I do hope that you fall into the former category. Get well soon honeyxxxx
Cuddles to any Wilsonettes under the weather right now, and to their carersxxxx
Tracy, what will you do with yourself now that your not spending all your time at hospital? The possibilities are exciting, enjoy yourselfxxxx
Crafty hugs
